Default With the next pick in the 2009 draft...

Your team needs a WR. Knowing what we know now who would you most rather have? I realize this is a unreal scenario, just curious if one of these guys well stand out above the rest and who it will be.

If you would rather have someone that didn't fit into the poll, feel free to nominate them via a comment.

I would have taken Percy Harvin but he has had issues with his migraines.

Jeremy Maclin and him are 1,2 in my opinion and it's obviously arguable.

Both have great speed and hands. Both can go over the middle and both run great routes.

In my opinion, you have to go with Kenny Britt. He has everything you look for in a WR. The size, speed, hands, and ability to run a wid variety of routes. Plus, he has been playing in a run first offense with Vince Young as his QB.

Some good WRs in there, but it's Nicks hands-down.

Are you going to back that up?

I'd say Nicks, too. He just has to get over his injury issues.

2010 stats: 79 catches, 1052 yards, 11 TDs...and he missed 3.5 games due to injury.

He's a great all-around, physical WR...which is why I like him better than Wallace, Harvin, and Maclin (who are all very good in their own right).

I am still sticking with Britt. Here are his stats from 2010 and he missed 4 games and the bye week:

42 catches 775 yards 9 TDs

And again he had Vince Young as his QB. Plus Britt has the ability to take games over. Remember his performance against the Eagles? 7 catches 225 yards and 3 TDs and Asante Samuel was covering him...

Well, you're alone on that one. 30 votes so far, and only 1 for Britt!

That is because Britt is on a low market team, so most people do not get to see him play. Also, he is not as publicized as the other receivers on this list (And he is overshadowed be CJ).

Give me Crabtree

It's way too early in careers to judge anything yet - and Crabtree has the most talent even if he is a headcase - he still looked damn good with Alex Smith and Troy Smith throwing him the ball.

So if you're asking me, after only 2 years in the league, which I'd want on my team I'm going with Crabtree

Even if he hasn't earned it yet.

I was just about to say. Nicks in my opinion is the best in that class. According to yardage heres the top 5 of the 09 receivers listed among all receivers in the NFL.

#5 Mike Wallace
#13 Hakeem Nicks
#19 Jeremy Maclin
#27 Percy Harvin
#37 Kenny Britt

I understand stats play into the equation here, but I am more wanting people to think of other aspects. I mean what if Britt was drafted by the Giants instead and had Eli throwing to him? Or if Hakeem went to the Titans?

I had 3 in mind for my choice: Britt, Nicks and Wallace. I had to go with Wallace. Needless to say the '09 class produced alot of solid WRs whom will be playing in the league putting up big numbers for years to come.

Another reason I wouldn't take Britt is because he's a blockhead...

Wait, you would not even TAKE Britt? I think Britt is better than Nicks, but that does not mean that I would not take Nicks.

Hakeem Nicks hands down. Hasn't had the mental issues like Britt and Crabs, and has proven a lot so far. He's put up some nice stats for a guy his size and for a NYG offense that highly favors the run.
