I will never understand why places leave the packs accessible for people to search them like this.

To the original poster, The only thing you are doing is giving them Youtube hits. We all know they exist and we all know they are the scum of the collecting world. From watching the video its obviously two guys. If you lived in their area I am sure you would not do anything about it cause you would probly get the balls beat out of you. So relax and stop giving them hits.

Yeah those are some great hits. Its easy to search packs at walmart and target Id like to see those guys go into the LCS and try that #@#@#@#@. I use to think it was no big deal, but the more I see it the more it starts to bug me. I'm glad I buy hobby and when I do I get boxes not packs. Its pitifull that grown men, old ass men, finger #@#@#@#@ the packs like that. It does suck for the little kids going to the retail stores. Those hits were pathetic, WOW. And people pay for those shitty hits, they pay for the packs before they are open and get a 2 dollar A-rod.

%$%# that. I'm not buying any more packs from anywhere.

Something else I noticed in a couple of box break vids.. sometimes the guy that's busting the box looks for a particular number on the box.. like ending in 48 for example. WTF is this #@#@#@#@. Is there legitimate information like this given to some people or is it superstition? Like if a buddy hits big in a box with a serial ending in 97 do people just start looking for '97' serialed boxes?? I would hope that there is an equal chance for ANY buyer to end up with ANY card but I'm quickly becoming a huge skeptic

Are you referring to Chris' breaks from the hobby box? If so, I asked him about that on the phone. He said that when you order, he will tell you what the ending numbers are, and you can pick out of the ones he gave you what number you want. He told me it's so that when you are watching the box break video, you know that what you are watching him open is the exact box you picked out. And I decided to pull a box ending closest to my birth year (85) and picked a box ending in 86. Ended up getting a Colt McCoy patch/ball/patch auto /20. So for some people, yeah, I'm sure its a superstition thing.

Ok...I don't get how to pack search. I'm not asking how to do it, but I was at a trade show to go buy some boxes, and he had some open boxes. I was feeling all the packs, but how the hell are you supposed to tell a decoy from a patch/jersey card? To me it seems freaking impossible. Oh, and the guy started bitching at me 'cuz I kept doing it to like 5 different boxes. I told him exactly what I was doing, apologized to him and bought my 2 boxes. Not doing that again.

Lol don't be molesting other guys stuff. I guess with enough practice you can figure it out. For all we know the packs are resealed and the whole thing is a big scam to get you to buy a subscription the their website.

Alot of people do that on this site. It's maddening. I just want to sell my cards without the hassle of ebay, not get talked down to giving the cards away. But apparently the newest thing is to rip off the guy tyring to have a good time with the hobby. When I list a price on a card or a lot, that's what I want to get for it, or at least somewhere close.

End of rant.

For a while there all the big Panini football hits were coming out of boxes ending in 8. Although its not pack searching, this plays out a great deal in the toy market with mystery packs and sealed packs of Gomu Erasers. A lot of times if you see enough of a product open, you know what is inside the mystery packs by looking on what the visible Erasers are. I am sure, that Topps, Panini and Upper Deck have a list of serial numbers and what is in the boxes. Or can figure out where the case hit is in the product by doing that.

You see, the boxes besides National Treasures or Supreme are all packaged by machines. Machines run on sequences. There is no such thing as a completely random machine. If you figure out the machine's sequence on a certain wave, than you are golden. Lets say the case hit comes in box ending in serial number 9898, than all you have to do is find boxes ending in 9898 or ask for boxes ending in 8 and you're all set. Machines are dumb, and the people that can figure out the machines get ahead of the game.

Personally i find this #@#@#@#@ funny. They have not pulled anything of worth and you look at the comments and people are all "Yeah this is awesome! Can you teach me to do it?????????????" Just people with too much time and money on their hands. Let them get their cheap thrill and 15 mins of internet 'fame'. Always stick to blasters if you must buy retail
