Default Should I finish my 2001 Ovation master set?

I have been trying to put together a master set of 2001 Ovation for the last 8 years or so. I still need 14 of the rookies and one autograph. In the last 2 or 3 years I have only been able to come up with 3 cards for my set. Out of the cards I need only one of them is worth anything much (Embossed Vick). Should I try and finish this set or just break it apart and sell it? I feel that I will never find the last cards I need since they are almost all under $10 and no one seems to bother with them.

I have all of the single, double and triple jersey cards, 136 of the 150 different rookies and 13 of the 14 rookie autographs. There are a lot of good rookies since this was the best class of the
00's! Vick, Tomlinson, Brees, C. Johnson, Wayne, Etc.

Looking for opinions on whether I should still try to finish this set or sell it. Also if I sell it how should I do it, the set as a whole or break it up.

I thought about it but the law of averages is really against me getting one that I need.

Well if the rest of them aren't worth much (and Vick seems like he's here to stay so his value should remain high) why not? Completing sets is all about the chase...if you could finish it one day it will be a very satisfying feeling.

Finishing would probably feel great after all this work! In terms of selling check to see if it's worth a lot more complete. If it is then that's just another reason to finish it. If it's popular enough that you can find a lot of value piecing it out, then wait until you're 100% you can't finish and use the profits to jumpstart another collection.

I say you gotta keep working on this. I know my LCS still has one that I'll probably bust one of these days. But with COMC adding stuff weekly and checking sportlots, etc. They'll sooner or later surface.

This is what the hobby is about though. You dont think people bust certain products to hit the main card worth thousands? Well, think of these 15 as your main cards, but are much easier haha.
