Default Scanner Suggestions

Just realized how bad I do need a new scanner.... Always end up cutting off side or bottom edges with this one.

What do you guys use? Toss an example of a scan in with your suggestion.

Also need to be able to toss cards in the corner quickly without having to worry about centering or cutting off edges.

Thanks!

ColtsFan, yours shows every little mark on the card, I like that....

I'm using an Epson NX400 right now.... I might not even need a new scanner. Just noticed all the damn settings in the program. Gonna play around with them tomorrow and see if I can get some better scans going.

I have an HP all in one, however I'm having a tough time getting it to crop to just the card. What do you guys do? Is there something to have it auto snap to just the card by putting it in the bottom left hand corner?

Btw...does anybody else have to use a diferent color background (like a blue folder) to contrast white bordered cards? Otherwise, I have no idea where the card ends...

Are you using the HP software? on mine it will scan and give you 1 selection field (pretty much your whole scan area, then you can size that to 1 card and make as many selection areas as you need, it will seperate them all and then you can rotate (or what ever else you want to do) them individually and each will be a separate file.

I have an Epson 5300 series (I think will check at home) and I love it.

The Epson software is very easy to use and the scan quality is great

I have never had luck with HP's

-I use the cheap, energy-saving Canon lide 110. Scanner only, not awesome but works just fine.

I use a HP Photosmart 5280 All in one. It automatically crops the pic. listed over 2000 auction listings with it and never had problems. Quality is great, just check out any of my auctions for examples.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, the level of detail on that is REALLY nice.

I did get mine to scan correctly although the quality is still not the greatest. I will be getting that one when I do upgrade though.

Appreciate all the great suggestions!
