Talking Tebow 1/1 Mailday!

So as some of you guys may have heard, BustingPacks.com held a facebook promo contest for a 1/1 Tebow blackbox rookie patch. To enter you basically just had to like their page on facebook, and tune in to the livestream on July 8th to see who the lucky winner was. Well, lucky me!

I couldn't believe my luck... So without further ado, here it is!

The back also states that it's auto'd, but no auto to be found. Not sure if it's just a misprit or what, but still a crazy nice card!

Also, be sure to check out www.bustingpacks.com for your hobby news (reviews, previews, etc) and more awesome contests!

Talk to joan1173. He has an insider at Panini. He could probably get that card replaced with the autographed version for you.

well, if you would have listened to the guy that did the drawing, he was already in talks with panini, and they said that they would replace the auto as long as the case was still sealed!!!

Or they could just grab a sticker and toss it on. It does say 'attached' auto.

Which would be fine by me!

I'm okay with the current condition of the card, but any auto, be it a sticker or on-card, would still be a welcome addition.

Nice card! I wouldn't send it to Panini because they would most likely not send you as nice a card. Wouldn't it be sweet if you sent it in and they sent you a 1/1 Sam Bradford on card Auto/Patch card as the replacement. That would never happen but it would be sick!

Update/Advice?

Got in touch with panini and they told me to send in the card, and from there on they would decide whether or not the card was a misprint or truly missing an auto.

My question: would it be worth the risk to send in?

Couldn't they just put on a sticker and settle it?

Personally I would send them some nice clear pictures of the front, back and seal and let them "decide" from those. I don't think I would chance sending it in unless they tell you the card send in will be the same on that is returned with the addition of the sticker auto.

I sent both when I opened up a claim on the Panini website. I guess that wasn't good enough for them!

I just can't trust that you would get the same card back from Panini. Too many posts of people sending in a card with a cool patch missing an auto and getting back a card with a not so cool patch.

Yeah, that's where my nervousness stems from. All I'd really want would be for them to slap on a sticker auto... I wouldn't want a replacement auto.

Say you did get a replacement, wouldn't it be worth more since it probably wouldn't be a black box card?

I'm actually not too certain on how black box affects the value of the card, but you make a good point if that is the case. So you would say it's worth a shot?

This is just my opinion but I would pay a lot more for a card that is pack pulled than a black box. It's kinda like those 1/1 black backs Topps makes and sells.

Nicely done sir. I knew someone would say it but didn't think it would be the very first comment.

dont send it they will screw you over guaranteed. they will probably say it was a misprint and send you something you dont want. Yeah they could add a sticker but I HIGHLY doubt it
