Default shipment weeks late? help?

posting here since someone here will know the answer hopefully.

recently sold a 5star base of Danny Woodhead for $75 (its his best RC and the last 1 before it went for $100+)..


anyway, the guy paid like 6 days later and then I sent out the card on July 12th. The tracking # showed it should be there the 15th. Well I checked on the 18th to make sure it got there and the info said it went through a facility on the 15th and again on the 16th. So I figured it's a bit late. Today is the 25th now and the last update on it still says on the 16th it went through a processing facility.

If the card never gets there do I have to issue the buyer a refund?

has the buyer questioned you on where the card is or are you just following it? usps is p*ss poor at scanning and updating their dc tracking info - even worse if you are just using ebay to track as that never updates on time from my experience. Good possibility it has been delivered and the status was never updated.
dont ever do any refunds until a claim is filed and you are forced to refund. no reason to be out the card and the $ all while the guy has the card and now his $ back. Also did you insure?

no I didnt insure. he didnt pay for insurance. he messaged me on ebay after i left him feedback, he said thanks for the feedback but I don't have the card yet and asked me for tracking. then i gave him tracking #. it wasnt shipped through ebay. just a track # i got at the PO. so sounds like he doesnt have the card.

try contacting the PO at this point. It might have gotten misplaced. PM me the tracking if you would like, I tell you that I have seen differrent things show up depending on what browser I'm using for the same tracking #

To answer your question... if the card is never received, then you do owe the buyer a refund. But as stated, let that person request a refund. The PO is not always the most dilligent on updating the status of a DLVD item. The buyer could have the card and the status online is just not tracking correctly.

When I ship from my post office the tracking does not show up online, I have to call them and let them enter it into their system.

i've shipped from about 15 different POs and I can track every single one of those packages. so thats not it razor

rudy the buyer said he didnt have the card at the time we last spoke. he hasnt contacted me in a week so maybe he got it. but i am afraid to ask him and have him open a case.

I recently paid for an auction on the 17th, the guy DC'd on the 18th, was supposed to be delivered on the 21st, I checked today and it is still in the "sorting/processing" phase. I wouldn't worry yet, sometimes these things are just God-awful slow.

well the last update says it was at his post office on the 16th. I dotn see how he didnt get it yet or how his post office could just not deliver it. I call USPS and his post office will call me back within 2 days. I guess I'll wait and see.
