what do you think is the best football product so far this year? and what do you think is the best football product of all time, please add the year with it. thanks
mine is 2008 topps letterman. and i think of all time would have to be a tie between 2007 national treasures and 2000 playoff momentum

I did not buy Contenders this year because of the design, those cards are hideous! The inserts are also pretty ugly, I know everyone is using stickers etc., but on those cards it's really "cheap" looking just my opinion, but I'll skip that set this year. And yes more hit's for you guy's

This year it hard to judge, I think NT could be great, but also SPA could have lots of suprizes...and lets not forget Mayo
But I think I'd rank Masterpeices just above Score Select. The on card masterpeieces autos and the card design I really like, had they put box toppers in this and/or auto'd versions oh my! Score Select for its price point I think really delivers a good product.I was very happy with 07 SPA, but I think you may have to go back to 97 UD Legends for the best set of all time. The auto'd checklist is still among the best and most of the autos are still heavily saught after.

Donruss classics was fantastic. I only busted two boxes and didn't get much but I have to say, for the price and the quality of players and the cards...it is tough to beat IMO.
I was/am not a fan of lettermen at all, but I'm not a fan of the manufactured patches and such. NT looks like it might be good again (07) was pretty bad IMO but 06 is great now that the price is 1/5th of the original SRP. SPA looks like a winner this year as well. Each product offers something a little different. Veterans, rookies, rookie autos, low numbered stuff, HOF autos/gu...take your pick. There really is a product for everyone nowadays. Oh and best of all time... 98 Contenders or 97 UD Legends. I can't think of anything that would compare to either. |
