Hi all, Was just wondering if anyone knew why 2008 Sp Authentic is going up so much? And do you think that it will go down befor the release date?

Thanks Rick

Depends on how the early breaks are. If they're good people will buy more, if there bad, some will sell off their cases hopefully allowing prices to drop. With this being sold out there's some demand for it, but also given how successful this years rookies were and the general popularity of SPA, this could be limited.

I think UD might be sold out. Plus, this rookie class this year is fantastic. Plus, 2 dual autos / case and 8 auto/patches per case. Looks like a winner this year. Glad I locked in at $1075.

Well, everything pretty much gets a bump up towards release. Plus, SPA is always popular to begin with and this rookie class was really great. I ordered a bunch of Mayo but still want to try some higher end 08 FB and don't know what to try out of Topps TT, SPA, and NT or to just wait and go for Exquisite (albeit less of it).

SPA should be interesting. I like that they at least added some other inserts to it. I'm wondering what'll happen since patches will be more plentiful. I understand, yes they cut production, but patches will be easier to get as they will be much easier to pull. Also, I'd think because of that wax should dry up significantly quicker.

With this economy? Yes. I think it'll be down 10-15 bucks within 2 weeks. That's my guess.
