Cool Dumb ebay buyer message!

Ok I have been an ebay member since Dec 1999, over the years I have only sold/bought things here and there so until the last few years I had little feedback. I have mostly just sold and for the most part have had only good cooperative people buy from me. Well yesturday I get this person who minutes after winning a card from me sends me this message through eBay:

where can i send payment to...if i dont get the adress by 1/20, i will not pay!

You can imagine how unknowlegable I am thinking this person is for not even taking the time to look at payment information or going to the view order detail page to find out where to send payment but then to say if you don't get it by the next day you won't pay! I have a feeling they are going to say they didn't get my address and not pay or neg me just to justify there reason for not paying as seller didn't provide proper information. I responded immediately and gave them my info and have there original message saved along with my response so will see what happens. I'm guessing they will pay but it will only be ironic if they don't. Its only $4.75 total not really a big deal if they don't pay but people like this need to stay away! Here is the link to the auction: 2008 SPX ROOKIE WINNING MATERIALS MATT FORTE DUAL GU #D - eBay (item 180321440980 end time Jan-19-09 14:36:08 PST)

I believe eBay blocks the seller's mailing address from buyers now since paypal is the only "accepted" form of payment. Just send the guy an email with your mailing address and make sure you don't let him know that you called him dumb.

I had just the opposite the other day...Sent the seller multiple requests for an invoice. He combined everything on the first invoice (including the shipping total of 12 bucks for 1st class mail)...asked him to redo it, took an additional 4 days!....and the guy is all of 50 miles from me....I almost just drove down and gave him the cash.

I guess I didn't even realize that Paypal was the only payment method now! I just got used to having the money order and personal check fields filled in I didn't notice that. It still makes me laugh that they are only willing to wait one day for delivery information and call it game over!

I thought you could accept money orders, but were no longer allowed to promote that you do...

That would be why several people sent me messages asking if I would take a MO. There are still quite a few people unwilling to use paypal and I can't blame them sometimes. I just want to know what kind of bank Paypal pulls in with those fees!!

I would guess juat about as much as ebay does, or at least half as much......

but then again since Paypal is owned by the same company who owns and operates ebay, it is really all ebay's money.......lol

I sold a bunch of McFarlane figures a few months back, my entire collection, final bid amounts totalled over $900, but after ebay/paypal took their piece I was left with just over $650
