You guys seem surprised that they didn't put any of the bigger names in the 55 chrome cards in Bowman ? They did the same thing last year. Seems all the second day picks and FAs are tabbed for the chromes in Bowman. Colston was the only name in last years and that was basiclly an accident since he was a last round pick who produced faster than anticipated.
No reason for them to put the bigger names in Bowman when they are releasing Bow Chrome. Good luck to those of you breaking Bowman cases. I think you would have been better served putting that money towards Bow Chrome because the only big hits will be the better autos which will be tough to come by on a case by case basis. GOOD LUCK BRAVE SOULS.

Jeb - from your previous posts I'm sure you've been in this game long enough to know better. It would be absurd for them to double print the chrome rookies for insertion into both products. Not that the base rookies are BIG sellers anyway but it would make them pretty much worthless if there were double the amount produced. The checklist was probably just meant for Bowman but for some reasonTopps seems to be making alot of "little mistakes" lately.

Bowman Chrome FB is no sure thing either from a rip standpoint with the impossible odds on the stud autos. I figured only 1 group A auto every 4 cases. But at $550 per case you still may able to make money just selling lots, sets and RC inserts.
I think we need a few more of the 2007 rookies to turn it up a notch for this product to get moving up. Other than Peterson there just aren't rookies or second year players (Bush, Young) having good years. |

I am interested to see who all is on the SP auto list in Bowman Chrome. I am sure we can all pick out 5-6 of them, but who is left off this list could make or break this product for rippers.

Great point Tony. Do we know who the SP autos were in Topps Chrome FB? I would think they will likely be the same group. My guess is Jamarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, Calvin Johnson, Lynch and Peterson wil be SPs. The other 5 is a up in the air.
I think a few of these remaining guys in the 55 auto set will start or continue make an impact before the season is over. Hopefully that will mean at least 2 of these guys per case. Selvin Young- Denver Trent Edwards - Buff Chris Henry-Tenn Dwayne Bowe- KC Anthony Gonzalez- Ind Craig Davis - SD Patrick Willis - SF Ted Ginn - Mia Last edited by jebjeb1; 10-22-2007 at 05:51 PM. |

I would bet Ginn and Bowe will be among the harder autos to get. Maybe Olsen as well.
