Thoughts on 2007 Bowman

Just finished a 2 case rip, listing tomorrow.

I like this set every year, so if I take a bit of a loss I'm ok with it because I keep a lot of sets etc.

This year they improved the cards so there aren't a million damaged cards in the cases. The design is pretty bad, one day manufacturers will get that script is only good for autographs, not for listing names on cards.

I pulled one regular autograph, 1 gold SOTF, and the rest were regular. I had 5 boxes in each case that didn't have an autograph or a jersey in it, which torqued me off, I'll have to get on Topps for that.

I have a complete gold set and probably 16 Bowman Chrome sets. The market will flood with these quickly, but they will be much more saleable when regular Bowman chrome comes out.

All in all though, a decent set.

If you were listing, would you do 1 day on everything? I have 148 cards that should get between $2-30 out of the case, and if I average $4.00 a card + $1.76 shipping bump average I get my case price back (I already sold some sets).

Definitely do 1-day, if they don't sell, just relist for 3-day.

KD - Are the Gold SOTF #'d? I just busted a case of Jumbos. I did OK. No Base Autos though. They make them next to impossible. Peterson isn't even in the SOTF set. Best pulls were a Trent Edwards SOTF, Peterson Draft Day Jersey (pretty tough pull) and a Quinn Jersey.

I got 3 Peterson draft day jerseys, a couple of Russell jerseys, 3 Calvin Johnson jerseys. Maybe my cases were loaded with the good jerseys, but I'm still going to crab at topps for being shorted 10 autos and 10 jerseys in 2 cases.

I was going to get more but at the last minute only picked up 3 boxes of HTA.

Pulled 1 gold auto (Palko) and a Quincy Black red 1/1 base parallel. Rest of the autos and jersey were unremarkable. Pulled 3 regular chrome refractors and one blue refractor.

I know it is a lot of work, but I would scan and show at least 1 card from each team set you are selling. Buyers seem to want to see the live product in hand.
