According to ESPN the Atlanta Falcons are going to look to trade the rights to Michael Vick while he is serving his prision sentence.

How do you think that conversation would go in jail....and who would really want the bad publicity??

As much as I now hate the guy and think he is a cancer on society, someone will sign him. Thats a big problem in this country, people are way too forgiving, especially when it comes to professional athletes.

Well this isn't going to go over very well but I look at it like this. If you own the dogs, you can do what you want with them. Abortion is OK, but don't fight or kill your dogs. How does that sound?

This could also be a quick money maker..well not quick. His stock can't get much lower (unless he's looking up at us..aka..taking a dirt nap), but whos to say he doesnt keep himself in good shape. He was a great athelte. If he comes out and is ready to play you could quickly trade him off to a team that needs a QB now. Vick is experienced, talented, and could really help a struggling team.

Providing he serves his sentence he's paid his debt to society, if he can make a come back great. I'd much rather see him doing that than being another burden on society.

Ray Lewis got away with MURDER of another human and people are still cheering for him. Mike Vick got put away for cruelty to ANIMALS - I am a dog lover and own 2 dogs but there is a huge difference between dogs and a person.

Now that MV has served his time why SHOULDN'T he get another chance?? There are guys busted for DUI all of the time and they get another shot - I think that DUI is worse than animal cruelty....

I really don't think Vick will every be a QB on a team ever again. To be the face of a team is just too much of a bad image. If he does play, I think it will be special team, tight end, or something like that. His arm was never impressive, it was his running with the ball. However, I hope he never plays again and gets cut by any team that tries him out.

Actually.....you can't do "whatever" you want with them. That would be why there are laws against animal cruelty, which is why that retard is where he is. Someone that has an opportunity of a lifetime (IE being a professional athlete and one that made A TON from endorsements etc) and does something as ridiculously stupid as he did to jeopardize all he has should be banned from the sport.

Thank you!! I have been saying this for years. I think human life is more important than animal life.. There are numours players in the NFL who have gotten away with killing humans and are still playing (Lewis, Leonoard Little off the top of my head) yes what Vick did was wrong but maybe he didn't know any better.. Shoot I can find many Klan members today and they are just as bad as anybody but when you know nothing else what makes what they do right from wrong in their eyes when they know nothing else... Yeah, I agree with you and pretty much everyone has a good point. My opinion is this...Just because you own, purchase or lay claim to something in America doesn't give you the right to do what you want to it or them. We have laws in America for a reason. If you don't like them you should leave and go a country that doesn't have them and see how you like life then. I'm sure you would be begging to come back. That's why America is pretty good county no matter what the media makes you think. The way America works is that if you are found guilty of breaking a law you are sentenced to a punishment. Once that punishment is over you get a chance to "Startover" now some jobs won't allow you back due to integrity. But as we all know sports doesn't have any integrity so he'll be welcomed back if a team feels he can help them (Make Money). And I agree he should have that chance. If a team doesn't think so then he'll end up like Maurice Clarett if that's the choice he makes. Not to sound like a total douche but Vick has choices. He can either choose to break the law again or not. It's pretty simple.

I was just stating my opinion. I understand that there are animal cruelty laws, and I abide by them. I own 2 dogs myself and my wife owns a pet grooming business and we donate a lot of time and money to the local Humane Society. But the mans life should not be ruined because he fought dogs. Its not like he killed or injured a person. He will serve his time (railroaded) and will be a good quarterback in the NFL (Detroit Lions)

He did his crime, he is doing his time. Leanord Little killed someone in a DUI, didn't spend a day in jail, and then got pulled over for another DUI, and he's still in the NFL.

Adam Jones' actions caused someone to be paralyzed, but he didn't go to jail.

Vick has done his time. Atlanta is not going to get someone to take his contract, they are going to have to release him and take the cap hit, but someone will sign him, and I hope its the Jets, because they could install a wild-cat offense with Erik Ainge, Kellen Clemens and Mike Vick and give the rest of the league fits.
