That Stafford is SICK!

And on another note, you are ok selling a card that turned out to be graded a 6.5 without noting any damage?

I'm sorry but ANYONE who knows two licks about cards or the hobby knows that SPX is fake.

As stated, Becket doesn't care, the card companies don't care, some ebayers don't care...so its up to the collect who knows his/her @*^$ to point them out, many people have about your cards, the proof is there.

Now please, just realize all of this and move on.

Am I the only one who feels that the Raw Review sticker on the Schaub appears to be tampered with? Wonder what card it really belongs to? How could that one's sticker be off center and has flaking silver color but the other one is perfect? Fishy if you ask me.

WOW the OP is an idiot......There use to be a youtube video of some guy who claimed to have the best patch collection in the world...He showed off hundreds of GRADED prime patches baseball...Turns out he was kevinburged, and almost all his patches were fake...

Grading services dont look at patches just the card, and considering you have raw grades, Im guessing you took them to a card show...Those guys grade so many cards, they dont look into patches, they just grade..

Sorry but you, the OP, are a moron

Know that Graded Does Not Mean Real

"I cant stress this enough. BGS and PSA do not authenticate anything but the card itself. Patches, autos on card, etc are all services outside of normal grading. Scammers use this to their advantage when they authenticate cards that have fake patches or fake autos. If the card itself is real, BGS and PSA consider it to be real, regardless of the other stuff on the card."

Those two cards were not graded at the same time. The schaub was graded long before the stafford was based on serial #. And Beckett does not authenticate the patch, it will sell better because ignorant buyers believe beckett provides this service when in fact they do not. Good luck, but I have seen a ton of Staffords and never seen a patch close to looking like yours, it is 100% fake IMO

^^ Problem is, majority of the fakes floating out there are dated and aren't made by Panini. Unless panini will also authenticate patches on cards made by other manufacturers?

Instead of charging the customers, you should be able to go their site where every card is scanned!

Neither of the cards in question were made by Panini and I am pretty sure the process w/Panini requires you to send the card to them. Not really feasible when buying on the secondary market. Plus, you should not have to pay to see if a card is legit - the card companies need to find a way to make it unnecessary. Either with clear windows over patches or a photo database of all serial numbered cards.

How about a picture of the front of the card on the back of the card. I mean you have to put the certificate on the back anyway. Also maybe everyone letting the card companies know about there feelings and ideas and maybe they will do something about it. Complaning on here about it will accomplish nothing.

That would cost a whole lot more than just scanning the cards and putting them on site. To put pictures on the back of the cards, each back would require a different image, thus requiring a new printing plate. It would be much easier, and less costly to group a scan of 9 and save them on a data base. If they wanted to save even more, don't post it on site, and have the customer simply email them. One person 40 hours a week could handle scanning cards and emailing back answers. There are tons of sports savvy people who would be interested in that job. Hell, it would really only require maybe 2 days a week for 8 hours to scan images, and the rest could be done at home. Buy a nice computer, the fastest scanner they can find (maybe not even a scanner if they have customer email them, a stationary digital camera focused over a flat table would do just fine as well), and they could get hundreds of cards imaged in an hour. Save the images per set and player in separate files, and you have an easily accessible data base to answer inquiries.

I was thinking more along the lines of a patented, unique invisible dye smeared on all the patches. Could include a set of glasses to read/decode these dyes in each product box they sell...or sell them separately. I don't think that'd be too expensive to implement. Sure, patch fakers could probably eventually learn to replicate the dyes, but its just another hurdle they'd have to jump...and I'm all for making their job harder than it currently is.

But what would stop the faker from pulling the patch with the dye out and putting it in another card?
