Well... Matt Wheeler influenced me into being selfish this Christmas season, and put myself before the kids presents. LOL. I actually sold the 97 Die-Cut Embossed refractor for $120 to help fund this purchase. In 1995, UDA released this card:


It was suppose to be 1 in a series of 4 cards commemorating his career records that year. I have never seen the other 3. All evidence shows that these cards were never released. So what should one do in this situation? Buy the proof cards. All alleged 1/1s.

1987 NY Library System Bookmark (Can't beat an oddity!)


And a 1999 Dol-Fan Club 8.5x11 Jumbo card... Love it!!!!

This was my b-day present from my parents... FINALLY got here as my b-day was Sept. 16th... LOL... Numbered /15... but each slide is a 1/1... from Marino's last game ever... a drubbing by the Jags... Ouch.

More oddities!!!! Both of these items are cataloged by Beckett, but were unknown by me somehow...

The first is a 1986 Topps Box Bottom Team card of the Fins. This doesn't come up when searching for Marino cards on Beckett, but he's on it, so it was a must add!!!! It was fairly difficult to track down.


Next up, I must have glossed over this item a million times in Beckett's Marino Checklist. I have the base and the one with Bledsoe, but never seen this "card" nor noticed it on the checklist. It being numbered out of 700 from a unpopular release from 1996 might have something to do with it. Very nice to add this one!

And now for something completely different... A deal I made on Blowout!!!

This one comes from 2011 Plates & Patches and is /10... got it for a GREAT price... I was out bid on eBay for quite a bit more a few months ago... which was the ONLY time I ever saw this card... Very happy to add this one...

Definitely an awesome patch!!! Makes up for the horrible design of that card. One of my least favorite designs ever.

Long read ahead....
When 2012 Topps came out I LOVED the inserts, but not the coins card. I scooped one of them up super cheap BIN, and when I got it in, I fell in love. I didnt want to drop the money to start chasing them all, since the only difference is one or two words on each card, but another one popped up with a cheap BIN and the serial numbers matched. I hit the BIN and said to myself, I'll only buy the last one if I can find 20/75.
I found the last one TDs 20/75 in a bucket of someone I have dealt with multiple times. In his Long Gone folder. I contacted him, and luckily, he still had it.... so here it is!!!! My 20/75 match set!!!!


Oh, I also got this card in.... /25... Boy do I wish this was a nice teal jersey in the card...

I dont mind college uni cards.... just not the auto's.... UD is making so many i could never keep up... much rather spend money on Fin autos I need.... but this one has been calling to me... LOL.
