The Packers take a look at Duke's Greg Paulus -- yes, that one - Shutdown C... - NFL - Yahoo! Sports
with rogers at the helm though for years to come, i guess its good to have a good scout team qb right?

I watched him play football in HS and he was a top notch QB. I was quite surprised when he chose to play basketball in college. I don't know if he could be an NFL QB being that he is only 6'1", but he is a hell of an athlete so I wouldn't put it past him.

We(Texans) picked up Drew Henson in late rounds, and thought the same. He went to a great team(Cowboys) in a trade, and sucked after given the chance to start.
Can not account for the experience, he would have recieved playing college ball, not to mention being away from the game for a few years..... Packers are better off keeping Brohm, etc as their backups and not wasting a draft pick.

Can't imagine they would use a pick on him. They may sign him as a free agent and bring him into camp.
NFL teams are always looking for talent outside of the realm of college football. Names that come to mind are James Jett, Justin Gaitlan, Brock Lesnar....sure there are more. But how often does an Antonio Gates come along?

I thought there was a possibilty R. Rodriguez was going to bring him into Michigan to play QB for his final year of college eligibility. They say he is a great fit to run the spread offense. |
