I think there's 4 1/1 cards: magenta, yellow, cyan and black? what are the usual colors for PPs?

How come the white whale printing plates are normal but for most others the photo is reversed?

Cause they arent plates. Just a variation on the card.

Edit: Never mind, I read back of the card and they do say they are plates...

I didn't think they were plates either because they can put jerseys in it...And actually all printing plates would have to be reversed...otherwise the picture on the card would be backward. Am I correct?

I still cannot find anything certain but there are both "White Whale" 1 of 1's as well as 1 of 1 "White Whale Printing Plates". However, both look the same, and none of them are reversed (From what I can find on the 'bay). Here's one that says it's a "White Whale Printing Plate" on the back. However, like I said, it's not reversed. I don't know what this really is, but I'm pretty sure it's not the "Printing Plate".

I like the disclaimer on the back:

"THE RELICS CONTAINED ON THIS CARD ARE NOT FROM ANY SPECIFIC GAME, EVENT OR SEASON."

LOL The could be from WalMart Jerseys

I find it deceptive that TTT can print 5 seperate 1/1's for each print run and still call them 1/1's. There are 4 plates for each variation (at least 5 variations) plus the white whale, plus the true 1/1! That means for the particular card shown, there are 21 cards labeled 1/1! IMO that is misleading and devaluing the cards as a whole. Topps certainly has figured out that everyone loves a 1/1 and so they are mass producing them. In addition to the multiple 1/1's, they put 1 guy on 6 different cards so they can further increase their print run, shortly after ttt came out I counted AD on at least 6 individual auto relic cards; that means that there are likely 126 different AD 1/1 cards out there in TTT !! That is way too much and very misleading.

This is why I think triple threads is one of the worst products ever produced. Yuck.

I have never and probably will never purchase a box or pack of any Triple Threads product. I agree on the companies realizing we love 1 of 1's too. Obviously it's not like you get one every case of every product, but they're definitely 10x (if not more) easier to find than they were say four years ago. The four 1 of 1's is a sneaky way. Yes, TECHNICALLY they're 1 of 1's, because there's no other plate EXACTLY like it, but then you could argue every patch card is a 1 of 1 because there's no other patch EXACTLY like it. I wish I could solve the "White Whale Printing Plate" issue but if Topps wants to deceive its customers than all the more power to them. I just know they're NOT the printing plates, for the reasons I stated earlier.
