The Cowboys were tied for 7th in the league for most sacks last year. How in your mind is that "average"

Well, like you, the stats don't tell the whole story there. The line (if we include Ware) did rack up some sacks, but didn't get very consistent pressure throughout games and often was part of the problem in the numerous defensive collapses last year. They were probably the best part of a defense that overall was average, but I wasn't impressed. Obviously the secondary was the worst part.

Overall your defense was average, I thought we were discussing getting pressure and the Redskins offensive line. The Cowboys Defensive line (includine Sean Lee and D Ware was the strength, but the secondary was just pitaful. And the sacks you mentioned in those Redskin games weren't coverage sacks they were just dominating plays by your defense

Yeah thats better then average for sure but I think ryan just needs to move a couple people around this year and maybe add a decent free agent to the D-line. Obviously the secondary needs some dedicated big free agent/draft moves.

Your guys offense is basically set, just seems like they are not on the same page some games. If murray can stay healthy you guys will be good without any moves on that side of the field IMO

Julius Peppers and Mario Williams manning the ends in Chicago would make for a nasty assignment for O-Line's everywhere

My Panthers are probably gonna pass on free agency or make minimal pickups which is sad,we need all the help we can get on defense.I wish we had cap room to go after Mario Williams to bring him back home to North Carolina.

Can you imagine him and Peppers teaming together?

Mike Wallace is a perfect fit for the Patriots.Maybe the best deep threat in the NFL and the one thing the Patriots were missing was somebody that could stretch the field.I think they would give up a 1 to get him.

I REALLY don't think/want (right now) to see the Pats drop a #1 pick for Wallace. He doesn't run any routes (well) other than GO routes. It's Ochocinco v2.0 except younger and might be able to put up better #'s, but not worth the gamble IMO. But, in Bill I trust...so we'll see...

Just tweeted that they are now the front runners to land Vincent Jackson. Paired with Mike Williams I think that would be nasty

If I were the Patriots its a no brainer to me. You have pick 31 in the draft. Mike Wallace is worth that pick because you have a need for a WR and no one in this class is as talented as Wallace imo. Ship the Steelers the pick and call it a day. Now if they had a top 20 pick I can see that not working but being that its pick 31 I consider that a high 2nd rounder to me so I do that all day, imo

He was not good at all last year, not the same player at all he once was

Well looks like San Diego won't be signing VJ, that moeny the "set aside" for mario probably won't be anything spectacular, so they proably won't get him. Just another ho hum FA for Ol' AJ and the gang. At least we signed hardwick, hopefully gaither, wouldn't mind them getting some safety help for weddle, either Landry or Atogwe. Happy FA everybody!!!!!

I love gossip. Guess Miami wasn't happy with his performance, still, third rounders?

You can have them both, OJ sucked terribly for us and was cut. Landry is too big to not get hurt and we won't resign him

WHAT?

Unless they get Manning and Wayne, that's the dumbest deal I think I've seen. 2 third rounders?????
