Excess cards

I have about 30-40 Autos and 30-40 GU cards that my brother left me after passing. Asside from a couple decent cards, most appear to go for $1-$6 on eBay. My question is, are these better to sell during the season? I really don't feel like scanning 50 $1 cards just to have them not sell. Some of the better names (Barber, AJ Hawk, J Best etc) are easier sells but just not sure about the lesser known guys.

if they are all worth a $1 or $2, send them in to BO and get some boxes

I should have stated that earlier, I am keeping all his Cowboys stuff and Atlanta Braves stuff. He was also a huge Spurs fan and so am I so that is the only PC that I am trying to grow so that one day my 3 y/o son can take it. My brother also left behind some unopened stuff that my son and I will open once he gets old enough. He passed away last October and he and his wife were living with my and my family in hopes we could help him get better. I am 30 and he was 33 when he passed. Thanks to all for the kind words.

He and I used to collect as kids and due to the aggressive leukemia he was pretty much house bound for the last year or so of his life. During that time he got back in to cards but I did not. After he passed his wife gave me the cards and wouldn't you know I am back in it. Mostly basketball though.

Anyway, I have spoke with his wife and we were trying to figure out how he had everything sorted and what his plans were. He was going to start selling on eBay and I think we sort of figured out what each stack was for. I've managed to sort and organize and now I want to move the lower end stuff. This week we are taking all the base cards that he kept (big names like Brady, Rodgers, Peterson etc...) and donating them to a local children's hospital. Actually doing that with all 3 sports.
