Default Luck Helmet Done!

Hey guys,

I imagine by now some of you are tired of seeing my posts about training camp and stuff but I'm just too exited about this not to share. Saturday I got in my decals below which only upped the anticipation

However, I waited eagerly for today when my helmet was suppose to get here. Well I got home to find a nice big box from Riddell and this is what was inside...

Full Size Colts Pro Line Revolution Helmet

After starring at it for awhile I rushed to peel the stickers on the helmet. And finally got them off.

Then ever so slightly after starring at the only picture and what seemed to be the tiniest picture possible of the back of his helmet, I put the decals on.

I'm ecstatic! Here is the picture I had to go off of lol

And of course this wouldn't be a post by me if I didn't pose a question but it's not about the helmet . Well since these Pro Lines aren't the cheapest things in the world I drew up some customs to have signed (only 7 of the 15 I'm doing) and am a bit lost about how to get them signed. They are on basic paper so would it be better to scan them and print them onto photo paper, laminate the drawings themselves and have them sign on top of it, or just have them sign the pictures themselves. I just want to hear some opinions on what you all think would look the best.

Thanks for the look!
Andy

Hey, my name is Andy too!

So we have a thread about an Andy, started by an Andy and the first response is by an Andy!

Awesome.

Everything looks great though! As for the drawings, you can always get them signed and then laminate it!

Don't ask me how much I want to offer. Come with a price in mind. If I don't want it or think it's worth that, I will let you know.

Freeney is pretty bad at signing. Last year when it was his day in the tent he got pissed and left because a kid kept bringing up items he refuses to sign. He hates signing anything where he's the only one on it, superbowl items, glossy pictures, and some cards. Not sure why but when the kid pulled out what he had he got pissed signed probably 15 paper football helmet cutouts and walked off.

Wayne is a little bit better but I've always had trouble getting him.

Now for the bad news this year they cancelled the autograph tent and closed the morning practices off from the public. It will be interesting to see how this year goes for sure...

What an ass. I get guys don't want to be bothered when they're out in public or if some guys just don't want to sign at all, that's fine. In this case, he is in an *autograph tent* and he refuses to sign most things people are going to bring in...c'mon man!

Yah unfortunately that's how he was and has been. He never signed outside of the tent but maybe once or twice and the only other time I seen him sign something was a 5 or 6 year old kid ran out in front of his golf cart when he was on his way to a meeting and he signed a football for hime then drove off. Some players are amazing others just seem like fans are a bother

Ok guys I'm starting to think it's impossible to find this chin strap. I am looking for the one like he wears in this picture...

http://media.cmgdigital.com/shared/l...66094b78-2.jpg

It's a Riddell High Hook Hard Cup chin strap with 4 slotted holes in the cup. The cup is a blank with no Riddell logo while the strapes need to have the word riddell written in blue on them. Search for what seems like forever and haven't been able to reach Riddell. Any help?

I sent an email to Riddell early this morning but have yet to hear back. And that was one of them that I found but thought that one could be bought with the right straps so I wouldn't have to spend 60 for something that could be bought as a package much cheaper. IDK I'll give Riddell a call tomorrow otherwise maybe I can make buddy buddy with someone at training camp and have them give me one. I mean they have to have extras right? lol

Stickers were bought off of eBay. Here's the seller store...

NHL Window Vinyl Decals items in vinylpalooza store on eBay!

The decals I got are just as thick as those already on the helmet. I paid the 18 for my set.

And that's the truth he may not even wear that chin strap. I'm in limbo about it as I can't even find out where you can order that style let alone the color combo that I need

Well just spent a half an hour on hold with Riddell to find out that they no longer sell the blank cup anymore. So if I want it to be right I will have to purchase two different chin straps and make it my own.

Question to you guys: If it was you doing this helmet would you just settle for the chin strap I have on it or buy the two chin straps and make it correct?

Personally, I think for display it looks better without a chip strap

Well the more I look the more I'm finding that it's gonna be hard to get what I want. there is a chin strap with the right cup on eBay but the straps are wrong. It wouldn't be such a big deal if I could find a set of the straps I need. Anyone have an idea? Riddell said they couldn't sell me the straps seperately so now I have to buy a chin strap with the straps that have the word Riddell in blue on them that can be taken off and swapped. Anyone have a set? lol

Helmet looks great! I've been wanting to do these to my helmets but just haven't found the time to.
