2011 Exquisite Football

Lately Upper Deck has been putting out some pretty bad stuff. Do you thin the 2011 Exquisite that's supposed to come out 8/15 is going to be worth the $530 they're charging? Thanks

I think its bullsh*t that there will have been about a dozen different 2012 releases before this even comes out...

beyond that though I dunno. i've never been a huge fan of college uniform stuff, especially at that kinda price point...

Yeah, sometimes I don't know what U.D. is thinking. They seem to be a little scattered when releasing their products as of late. I'd like to be a little more sure about a product before laying down that kind of money.

It's a nice 2012 card, it's a complete joke for a product to be released in late 2012 to be considered a 2011 release.

They arent even authentic jerseys because the real ones are so expensive. They are the replica jerseys that you and I can buy. So, screen printed patches instead of sewn. PASS.

I don't blame everyone for making threads and being upset..

But it is Exquisite and when it comes out people are going to open the heck out of it..

And these rc cards will be saught after more than five star or treasures down the road...

that is so true...exquisite ALWAYS outsells Five Star and National Treasures...regardless of which uni they wear...personally i don't care either way...what does piss me off is they call it 2011 and they'll of course shove 2012 rookies in there like last year to smooth over the abrasives....idiotic if you ask me...but either way i'll be picking up singles...probably 2-4 players worth i'll need...

UD's designs are by far the best in the industry. That is why Exquisite will always be chased. Then add in the below type of cards into this years product and no matter when it is released people will be lining up.

2011 exquisite $530 A BOX???

2010 is currently $470-485 box
2009 is currently $370-385 box-- below cost

NT for 2011 will prove to be the biggest winner box/case wise
while 2011 contenders boxes are currently the BEST buys at $110 box which yield 5-6 autos per box on avg

Except for the fact that 2011 Contenders might be the ugliest contenders branded set in history (maybe 2009 is worse), and NT isnt much better to me. The giant ornate belt buckle design with all the weird colors, small space to sign, combined with the outdated rookie premiere pictures were horrendous to me. Dont even get me started on the way Contenders looks.

Collectors dont care about design, which confuses me, and care more about a big swatch from a jersey worn for less than a second at the Premiere.

I have bought either a few boxes or a case of exquisite from 07 to 09.

I stopped with the prices for 2010 and won't be returning this year either, if it was $430/box I would still not buy it. It will drop under 400.

Sorry to those that buy college, personally I do not like college Unis one bit. But regardless this is just hilarious. There is no point to even release this now. Esp with already having half of 2012 products released by the end of August.

Oh yeah, I remember a COUPLE YEARS BACK when they won the national championship. They should have to call them xrc's as far into 2012 as we are.

I was thinking about this and maybe we are being over harsh. The cards were probably actually produced much much earlier. If it's true that they were holding them to minimize redemptions, then this would make sense. The thing with this set that I've always liked is the on card autographs. It's like this is the one set you can always rely on to have all hand signed nice looking cards. NT are nice, but half are on card, half on stickers.

It comes down to content within the box more than the look of the base set of cards.
I'll take 5 boxes contenders at $550 vs 1 one box of this stuff for almost the same price.
Think about it...... you'll be getting 25 to 27 autos out of the contenders

Ya but the cam newton auto in contenders you can get for like 160 now and when it released it was like 300. Now with this set, you pull a cam auto it easily worth a grand and will pay for the box and then some.
