2012 Topps football Kickoff promotion

Im having a hard time understanding this. These are flying like crazy on ebay right now for 10-20 card lots. Im assuming LCS will only have 30-40 packs total? What if someone buys these online then goes and takes them all for a LCS that he didnt buy anything from.

Then it gets him inside the hobby shop when he normally wouldn't have been? Dunno really I refuse to use my LCS b/c their prices are insane.

they are flying like crazy on ebay? I've only seen 2 lots sold? am I missing something? both lots look to have undersold in my opinion also

I wondered that also. I pulled one out of a pack and they said that I would have to come back for it. I got on eBay and saw the huge lots of them and started asking myself well how many will each store get? will it be around the same number as BF packs? Lots of questions lol. And also how random will the autos be lol

I like these promotions because you get extra bang for your buck with added excitement for rare cards. I feel however the LCS by me searches these prior to giving them out and here it why. I went to a pack wars when panini had fathers day packs. There were 15 customers in there so he handed them out just as a thing for being there he handed me one and said you got the lucky one. Now how did he know that before it was open? And he was right it was a parch card but it could have been a decoy. I just feel that LCS have to much to gain by not handing them out.

Yes both were bought by me 30 cards for 28 total
Including a 20 lot for $10

I would advise you guys to rip and flip this seems like easy money.

What are the chances that if I walk into a hobby shop with 40 of these that the hobby shop is going to hand over 40 packs?

Is there a list of hobby shops participating in the promotion?

What if you don't have a hobby shop in your area?

I don't know how effective this type of promotion is for Topps.

slim to none. I have 30 of the cards i think im going to go in with 10 and send my friend in with 10 and then try to find a differnt hobby shop for the last 10. No way he hands you 40 packs.

I would agree, I know my LCS has stated that if the person coming in to redeem them didn't buy the product from him he isn't redeeming them.

Defeats the purpose of this promotion. You did not have to buy specifically from your lcs. This was a promotion that was to get you into the door to buy from them but you didnt have to buy the product from them.

I pulled three redemptions out of my jumbo and am getting three packs reserved.

The packs should be showing up soon. The promotion doesn't even start until 9-5-12.

I pulled 38 of these from two Jumbo cases purchased AT my LCS and he said he will have no problems filling the order. It is my impression that each shop was allocated at least what they ordered in cases, plus probably more to cover people who bought product online.

BTW, is there any reason to believe that these packs won't sell for $10-$20 a piece once live? Anyone scooping these up on eBay for a buck or two is genius if they can get them filled.

My LCS is a smaller LCS who has a loyal base of customers who purchase most if not all of their products thru him. When I said he would only redeem the cards bought from his store, we were talking about 20 or 30 redemptions....if someone brought in a couple of them he would prob redeem them as well.

People who are buying huge lots of these off ebay have got to know they can't expect to just walk into the LCS for the 1st time with all those cards and get them all redeemed. That defeats the purpose of trying to help out the LCS.

well danda"pansonman" u know our local hobby shop is going to have a lot of packs and idk why yr so worried when you have no kick off promo cards.
