Default EBAY Exquisite Sellers Look buyer issue

Just wanted to give anyone who cared a heads up. j.conover1191 bought my Locker Swoosh auto from me and has not paid and is non-responsive to emails. Originally he bought the card, then messaged me that he could not pay. I immediately filed a transaction cancellation request (per his request to cancel), and relisted the item. He contacted me again and said he wanted the card and would pay this weekend. The weekend is not over I guess, but I just wanted other sellers to be aware.

Geez man we need to all quit listing on ebay until they allow sellers to leave bad feedback for buyers.

wow, if he doesn't agree to cancel the transaction you are on the hook for the fee's, never do that with a buyer unless you trust them 100%, I had to pay fee's once or twice on buyers who did that.

That doesn't really make sense. First, Ebay sales represent what the "market" is actually willing to pay for an item. This is a pretty good indication of what it is worth. Second, Wikipedia is probably the most widely accepted source for facts in the world. Just sayin'

Didn't think about that. Might get screwed there.

Really? I had no clue you couldn't open a claim after. I could be wrong (and I probably am), but can't you cancel what you sent to him. Then open a claim like you would normally do? Again my mistake I thought you could open a NPB claim at anytime.

If you can do that, I can't figure out how. I tried but the system won't let me do anything.

Q is correct. You can only open one or the other. There is no way to "retract" it. That is only with bids/BOs.

You may be able to show the message where he asked you to cancel to ebay. They may or may not go ahead and refund the fees but it would be worth a shot.

They will, just had someone decline a cancellation request, then say about 20 minutes later that they now wanted to cancel (SMH). Called eBay the next morning, they were able to refund the final value fees, but said just leave the cancelled auction in limbo since theres nothing they can do to reset it.

Go ahead and use that for a major thesis, I'm sure your professor will love it.

+1.

Use wikipedia as a quick reference but only use .edu, .gov and generally .org sites as references.

Ajax, thanks you are right. I called Ebay and they told me that they could facilitate the cancellation and credit my fees back.

They also told me that even if a buyer does NOT accept the cancellation request, that I will be able to close the case out on my own after 8 days and get my FVF back,

Ebay tried caling the buyer to see what their intentions were, with no luck. THey suggested I give the buyer one more message letting him know that there will not be a strike given if he accepts the cancellation request. I also told him that if he wants to buy the cards, thats cool too. I totally gave him the out.

HE emailed be back instantly this time (after a couple of emails this weekend with no reposnse) and said :

"
Sorry had a family emergency yesterday. At the hospital all day and phone died. I'll take care of the card Monday. Didn't have time to go to the bank. Thanks for being patient."

We will see

In the past month I had this happened to me 3 times. One was for my Russell Wilson exquisite base. Buyer hits my BIN then message me saying that her kid didn't have permission to buy it. Why does your kid know your password or you don't sign off your account.

Again with another Ebay problem? For someone with so much feedback, you sure don't know how the system works.

You ALWAYS file a NPB on a buyer OR let the BUYER request the cancellation.

Some people's children.......
