When are the bears going to learn what denver learned years ago?? Cutler is not an elite quarterback. He is a good backup at best. Although his receivers are not helping him out he just isnt an elite QB IMO.

As a Bears fan I don't entirely disagree. I don't think he's an elite QB, but I do think he's an middle of the road QB. Better than a backup and player that can win with the right team around him, but he has poor mechanics and panics under pressure.

You don't have to be elite to be a starter. Regardless he's 10x better than anyone else the Bears have put back there the last 5-7 years.

He is a turnover machine, and history proves this. However, just to play devils' advocate...if Marshall never dropped that pass in the endzone, the complexion/momentum of this game would have been completely different right now.

Which can't be good when the offensive line is like it is.

And of course Cedric Benson having an epiphany of sorts against his former team.

Cedric Benson has done a great job of making something out of nothing tonight.

Exactly.

it's a bad combination to have a bad o-line and a QB who panics under pressure.

Some quarterbacks perform quite well under a lot of pressure, but unfortunately for the Bears, Cutler is not one of them

I totally agree. I was just trying to remember who the last good QB chicago had and I honestly could not think of one. I keep thinking of Jim Mchaman lol. I think the bears have been relying on their great defense for a long time and never having a real offense. That great defense is getting a little old(briggs, urlacher)

Can you not be a total homer for a few minutes? Ok, thanks.

Your team barely beat a Rams team who will be lucky if they win 4 games this year. It took a TD in the last 10 seconds to beat them. Your QB, as you would probably put it, did his best Jay Cutler impersonation by throwing 3 Ints with one of them being returned for a TD. Not exactly setting the world on fire. Besides which, your team plays San Fran this weekend, and will likely have the same record as the Pack and Bears if this game holds up and your team plays like total garbage again this weekend.

Let the games play out for a bit before you decide to run your mouth.

Yeah whats your point? I hope you are not comparing your QB to stafford or any of your receivers to theirs lol!? Chicago has had a better defense then detroit for a long time but cutler is no stafford and I don't think a bears receiver would make the detroit practice squad lol.

Didn't notice it was Jones that missed that TD catch until the replay. Stuck between being a Bears' fan and wanting to get production from my fantasy team. I figured Jones could do well but the Bears could keep up. ughhhh

Its called being a fan lol. You may not have confidence in your team but I do in mine. Detroit made the playoffs by winning games in the fourth quarter last year so not sure what that matters.

This game is almost over so I don't know how much more we can let it play out?? lol

Maybe you missed where I bolded. Cutler is better than a "Good backup", and you know that. Don't turn this into a "Lions thread", k? You'll get your own (I'm sure) on Sunday, so wait until then to throw around your homerism.

Getting raped by Jeffrey tonight. Glad I snagged Bush out of Free Agency though, even if it does mean having to play Kevin Smith against the 49ers this week
