Brett Favre 08 Icons Letterman Replacement

I couldn't believe UD still hadn't filled this redemption for a manufactured patch card. No waiting for a signature or anything else. Finally I requested a replacement since Brett was going to be in a different uniform I figured I couldn't do worse.

To my amazement UD came through and came through big time! I requested Packers or Brewers for a replacement. Yesterday I received a dual auto from SP Legendary Signatures of Mike Schmidt and Ryan Braun.

Thank you Upper Deck. The wait was worth it for this replacement!

Wait. You are saying that UD had redemptions on a MANUFACTURED patch? What the heck could keep them from producing a card that has no authentic material or auto before the set is released? Bad enough to make it a redemption, but then you cant even produce the card at all? You think this is some problem between Farve and UD? And since none of it is PW or GW could he or the league even hold up production if the wanted?

As you said, it's not a game-used patch, and Favre had cards in late-released UD products featuring him in his Jets' uniform...I can't think of a logical reason why this wasn't produced.
