Customer: I'd like to return this refurbished smart phone. I got it from the Best Buy website and the back has what appears to be cat claw marks. And maybe bites from a baby shark...
Employee: Alright, can you give me some details first? I need to know how me and my Verizon Specialist can work to make sure we make this return as hellish as possible. I have a Verizon specialist, you know. Customer: What? Employee: Nevermind. Did you know my store has a BILLION smart phones? I bet you have like...one, right? Haha. Customer: I actually have a few smart phones myself. Opened a small business with the wife and we're pumping out smart phones. Thought I wanted one of your smart phones though. Employee: Why do you talk that way? You're dumb. Customer: I'm an engineer...this is how we talk. Employee: We've had a prolonged enough conversation now and you bore me. Here's your refund. I hope your trip to Best Buy has been pleasant! Customer: This place scares me. Can someone show me the escape route? |

After reading the situation and all the OP's responses it is clear that the OP was not being a true "Power Seller" on ebay. He was being an immature condescending seller to one of his customers which is not good business practice. Doesn't matter what the reason is that the buyer wanted a refund for, he is entitled to it and you should just provide it for him out of good customer service and not turn it into a pissing contest for no reason. A lot of buyers get buyers remorse, it sucks, but it happens and everyone has had to deal with it before so get over it and just provide the best customer service you can regardless.
Even after most people are in favor of the buyer in this situation, the OP just can't seem to admit he was in the wrong and continues to insult everyone that does not agree with him, he seems like a complete narcissist to me. It is all about him, he is never wrong, others are always to blame.

Youre better off just to give the guy a refund and relist it. You arent going to win in a dispute and you are screwed anyway so you might as well be professional and nice. Apologize for the problem and move on. I have dealt with the same type of stuff and it isnt worth a negative to say your peace. Block the guy as a bidder and be done.....

After seeing this, I found no need at all to read this thread. One of the great all-time gifs

Seriously, though. 1/1 should be just that: there is only one of this CARD produced, and here it is! The novelty of the serial number does not make the card 1/1. It may make it more desirable to a collector, but let's call it as it is. "Card #974/1349! A true 1/1! Bid now!" Really? At least I know not to buy from the guy, now... |

if people can not figure out the true 1/1's on their own there is no help for them. There are tons of sellers that use the ebay 1/1 term for population 1 cards and jersey number cards. Does that make it right probably not but what ever can get them the most views and $$. As buyers/collector though we should be past it bothering us

Sorry, but that is a load of crap. These people should continue to get called out for it. We all have the right to complain about a bad practice as much as we want. It is not past bothering me and obviously a bunch of others feel the same. Keyword spamming is a shady practice and should be called out. It hurts legitimate sellers by cluttering their search pages and possibly hiding their sales in junk.

agreed it does not make it right as I indicated. I understand it is not past bothering you and a couple others but there are way bigger problems then this for me with sellers that it really does not bother me and not many people I know personally from shows and such.
