It's actually very sickening. Look at his completed items, almost every single one was shilled.

I know I've heard the name before. That 300 bids with 92% and over 20 retractions sure looks awfull bad.

nickha2 10-07-2012 08:07 PM

Thats just a waste of time imo. Those people always shill past the point where people would buy and then they are stuck filing complaints against there other account. Then they have to start the whole thing over again. The funniest one is 5 autos of jarius wright and matt kalil for $30? You could buy those for $1 a piece.

go_steelers07 10-07-2012 08:13 PM

how do you block a seller?

Verufian 10-07-2012 08:18 PM
how do you block a seller?
You can't. I suppose I chose my word poorly. It should have said "eBay shiller to warn you not to buy from them", but it was kinda wordy.

Nick Diaz 10-07-2012 08:25 PM

Yep I noticed that this week I wanted to get one of his cards and that shiller would bid when I would. He canceled the bids on the shilling accounts on one card but didnt do them for the rest. He also left himself positive feedback from those accounts then resold the same item to another seller its all in his feedback.

bigzig 10-07-2012 08:30 PM

If you look through the cancellations and retractions for both accounts, they all seem to happen within a few minutes of each other. What a coincidence!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I can't see the #ing of the card in his avatar, but he's got the same card for sale on ebay.

His last message to me was that if I contacted him again he would get his lawyer involved for false allegations on a public forum that was detrimental to his business.

jhusker07 10-07-2012 11:37 PM

His only business is to rip of people off.

jhusker07 10-07-2012 11:40 PM

I like how he changed his name to potlimitomahafan.

FWIW, here's the 2 messages I got from him here on BO, and one on eBay.
You need to think long and hard about what you did. I have a family to provide for. You are messing with my family. My boys need to eat. My boys love opening cards with their pop and selling them on eBay. They got carried away and must have been trying to impress dad with big sales so they'd get a great Halloween party. Seriously, you should have come to me like a man and discussed this and not blown it up to the whole card collecting community. I HAVE A FAMILY TO PROVIDE FOR. I could and would have taken care of this situation. I am a grown man. I'm not a little kid. I handle things like a man. You should too. Whatever took place will never happen again. I need you to think long and hard if you want to keep these posts up about me. Every day you do is a day that my kids could go without food on the table. Is that really worth it to you? I want you to know that you have my word that it's all clean from here on out. Man to man, give me a second chance. That is all I am asking for. I have a family to provide for. Everyone deserves a second chance. My family relies on me for money and food. Please keep this between me and you. The way it should be
My Reply-

This will be my last message to you. Feel free to block me. I don't give a rats ass about you having to provide for your family. You are STEALING money from other people trying to provide for their families. The funny thing is, I was trying to figure out how to price some of my auctions, and that's how I came across you. If you choose to continue to rip people off, that's fine. Do whatever the hell you want. But we as a community will continue to let others know about liars and cheaters. This community is supposed to be about collecting, having fun, and enjoying the hobby. Not ripping other people off.
i posted a public apology on your thread. I truly am sorry.

I'm not sure where to go from here. I deleted all the bids and I will donate the 10% on my future listings.

Please give me another chance
And the eBay one...

Dear potlimitomahafan,

So how many accounts do you have to shill your auctions? We've found 2 so far... http://www.blowoutcards.com/forums/member-sales-trade-feedback/380037-avoid-ebay-shiller-clownquestionbro.html#post3437068

Dear verufian,

listen, where and how do you want me to apologize? I feel terrible. #1 It will never happen again. #2 I will donate 10% of all my listings to charity for the next month. #3 it will never happen again. #4 I have a family to provide for. Please give me a second chance. All I ask for is a second chance. I have to provide for my family

I love the argument of having to provide for his family, if that was actually an issue for him he wouldn't be buying and opening boxes of trading cards as its just not how you support a family

What a tool

hugh 10-08-2012 01:33 PM

first he blamed his kids then basically admitted it was him. Class act

vc15jrich23 10-08-2012 02:03 PM

Now now, you all are being a little rough. At least he is trying to provide for his family, if it was some sort of auction on here he would be paying for a funeral due to a family member's death.

to all the dirtball sumbags that steal from others, under the guise of providing for their families:

'Providing for my family' - Typical response for an argument they know they can't win and hope you will feel sorry for their 'kids'. What are the odds he doesn't have kids or even if he does, that they don't even like cards?

hychang5 10-08-2012 03:50 PM

I provide for my family by blaming all the shady crap I do on them.

Moo Strength 10-08-2012 05:35 PM

I too provide for my family, but I would never ever knowingly sell out my integrity no matter what, because once you give it away, you will more then likely never recover it. Artificially boosting your eBay auctions is not only disgraceful, but I would hope someone would notify eBay as to operating in a shilling backed enterprise, I don't know if eBay is still gung-ho about it, but the used to be pretty serious about shutting those kinds of people down fast.

I have to laugh about someone trying to even suggest that they can sue someone for libel or slander over an internet forum. That's so incredibly laughable on so many fronts to make a statement like that really begs the question to any legitimacy of actually BEING an adult and not some little kid using big words.

Incidentally, I saw someone asked about blocking the seller, I assume you know that while you're unable to block a seller per se, you can block people completely from doing business with you on eBay right?

My thoughts exactly.

Why do people "report" it to ebay when I would report it to the FBI. Internet division

They can make sure to provide for his "Family"
