Do you think Justin Blackmon will ever be a top NFL receiver?

I know he plays for the Jaguars and has a pretty bad quarterback/team around him, but do you think he can be a stud at some point in his career? His cards are selling for fairly cheap, would you buy or sell?

He has talent, but he is in the same boat as Dez. When they decide they want to put the effort, time, and stop being stupid, they will be stars.

Can't see it tbh. He's on a crap team at the moment and if he continues to do nothing with them he won't be picked up by a great team in the long run. That and his work ethic is lacking

I tend to agree with you guys, i bought a lot of his high end cards and im thinking of bailing out now before they go any lower...

It's a very rare occasion that first year wide receivers have break out years. There are a few exceptions over the years, but it typically takes these guys a year or two to figure out the NFL playbook/system.

No offense, but what does a player's collectibility have anything to do if they will be an elite receiver or not?

I was just using it as an example of how people think of elite players on this board. I'm just saying he will never considered a top receiver playing for the Jags. Look at MJD he was the top RB last year and how many people consider him an elite and RB? where does MJD rank in FF.

I think Blackmon needs to put on more muscle. He looked very good in college because the corners were smaller and slower. I think, if he take the right approach he may be good some day. It too early really to say. If Gabbert ever can pull it together, then the Jags would be good. Blackmon better step up though, looks like Cecil shorts is out playing him this year.

He would be a top receiver if he played somewhere else. Superstar though not likely but there are only a couple of them.. Coming out in the draft he did have some knocks against him. Fitz and megatron could go to Jacksonville and they would suck too.

He will Definitely be an elite WR, all good comes in time and especially with Gabbert as QB. Look for Barkley to Be There This Time Next Year

M Crabtree was a similar player. Huge abilty, but ;lacking focus, attitude stunk and is a "ME" player.. Crabtree is just now starting to grow up and putting in the work to be a player.. Takes time with some guys...blackmon, with this team and QB, will probably not get it done for the time being..Maybe later on down the road....
