Default Look who the 49ers get to play at home again this week.....

ELIte Manning and the defending SB Champs.

Hopefully Kyle Williams plays again....Is he still on the team? Alive?

BTW: Is it too early in the season to start popping off at the face? Should I save it for the playoffs?

Go G-Men!

I'd love to see the Giants win this game, but there is no way in hell I'd actually put money on it.

If it were legal to bet here, I would put 10.00 for the 9ers to win..

I think SF covers the -6.5 with relative ease. Not a bad bet to go with the money line on the Giants if you want to take a risk though.

They're a solid team but some make them out to be the best team in the league.
They have not beaten a team with a winning record and after today they'll be
0-2 against teams over .500

I don't want the Giants to win, but easy money I'd say.

Alex Smith only throws picks against good teams and blows out weak teams (with LOTS of help). The Giants won't roll over...

EDIT: Sheesh. Last time I saw the score before this...it was 10 - 3. Smith's gone from 1 to 3 INTs. Well, I was still right it seems.

The Falcons are considered one of the top 3 teams but they haven't played anyone with a winning record either.

I am a 49ers fan but I am still not sold on Alex Smith. He can manage most games, but if they fall behind I question if he can bring them back. Sure he did it against the Saints, but he can't do it against a team like the Giants.

I'd like to see Kaepernick get a little action just to see what they have. Maybe Smith goes down for a week or 2 with a minor injury and Kaepernick gets a couple starts. You never know what he can do until he gets a shot.

Good true point.

QB's win...That defense better get alot more consistent if the 9ers plan on winning with Smith.
I'm not sold on him either and he has been around how long????
Someone else needs a shot.

Very true but even when Niners were 4-1 lot of people considered them the best team in football.Falcons have been down late int he game and they've came back and it seems like the Niners offense can't do that yet.

They never will be able to come back w/ Alex Smith at QB. That's why you have to see what you have in Kaepernick. Obviously they won't bench Smith after 1 bad game. But long term, he is not the answer. QBs win championships.

Look at the past 20 Super Bowls and who the QB was:

Eli
Rodgers
Brees
Big Ben
Eli
Peyton
Big Ben
Brady
Brady
Brad Johnson (great tampa defense)
Brady
Trent Dilfer (great Baltimore defense)
Warner
Elway
Elway
Favre
Aikman
Young
Aikman
Aikman

So unless you have a great defense, you can't win it w/o a top tier QB. The 49ers defense is really good, but I dont know if they are an all time great.

What's kind of scary is that Giants have always been a 'slow start, strong second half' team during their SB runs.

Kind of makes me wonder if they're going to do so well that they drop off a bit towards the end of the season and lose the momentum.

I agree, Niners are one Solid QB away from a trip to SB. I don't think Kaperkinck will get any playing time this year since I think the Niners will be just fine.
