Default New York Giants SB 42 Helmet

Got a question for everyone. I know this is mostly about sports cards, but I got this a few years ago and I figure its close to the subject matter. Big Giants fan so a few years ago I got a great deal through Steiner sports on the SB XLII Team Signed Helmet. And when I say a good deal, I felt like I was stealing it. The helmet was priced at $3,000+. It was on sale for 50% off. Plus I had a friend who worked for a company who got 50% off Steiner sports products. I ended up getting this helmet with the case for $750.

The question I ask you all is the helmet was a limited run of 92. They did that for Michael Strahan's number. Well when I got the helmet I was so surprised to see that the helmet I got was number 42 out of 92. I mean with it being SB 42 and numbered 42/92 that I got lucky as hell. I doubt it makes it more valuable in the end but I know with sports cards and them being numbered to the athletes jersey number makes the card more valuable. Please let me know what you think. And if your annoyed I posted this, my bad just wanted your opinion.

Now I want the helmet for SB 46. Doubt I would get this lucky again.

first off-- very nice piece...
who wrote the 42/92... i would think it would be on the steiner sticker?? is it on the coa also?

and if its legit, yea it gives it something extra, some people like that . just like when a card is the players jersey #..

Yea it came with a card that says certificate of authenticity card but it does not show the number on that. All it says is LE 92 and a product number on it but it does not say number 42 on the certificate. But I bought this directly from Steiner so I'm not worried. If I bought off eBay that would be another story.

Thats awesome. Slightly Jealous being a huge Giants fan myself.

Some people will def like it more for the number 42. Some wont. Kinda hit or miss. If I were buying it I would care

No I did not get the Tyree Stickum helmet.

But I was really lucky to get Tom Brady's Game Used Jersey with Tears all over the jersey. I got it authenticated by PSA/DNA. They said they were game used tears so that really brought up the value of the piece. Let me know if your interested maybe you can use it as a tissue.

Thanks for PMing me this, I would never of seen it in the thread And as I said before I'll pass on the 2k+ tissue and anyways I prefer Kleenex. (They Worked well for both the Super Bowls against the Giants, I was crying all night)

Upon more research, these helmets have gone down drastically. Steiner is now selling them for $699, meaning authorized dealers can pick them up for $350.

This helmet has more than 15 autos and it is numbered out 92 not mass produced replica helmet. This is an official NFL helmet. Just spoke with Steiner sports as well. Would sell but your offer is too low for me to consider because it has 27 autos I believe.
