Does This Look on Par to You?

Hey all!

Since I'm leaving the card-collecting hobby (other than my PC) and moving onto historical figures autos, I just noticed this baby on eBay:

Spectacular Thomas A Edison Autograph | eBay

Typically, I try to stay away from autographs that are not already PSA/DNA or JSA or UDA authenticated, but TO ME this autograph looks legitimate.

Although I do not know the size of it (I asked the seller just now), I was wondering if you think this is a legit autograph? I'm not an expert in authentication, and I'd hate to pay the hefty $150 fee to send it off to PSA/DNA in order for them to tell me its not real.

Well, the signature does say "Thomas Edison". Therefore it must be real!

Well that's my professional take on it. Hope you eventually find out whether it's fake or not!

i would tell him your intentions of getting it authenticated and ask him if his "unconditional authentic" line will also cover your authentication costs if it comes back as fake. If he agrees then go for it. If not then its probably not real!

This strikes me as a bad idea. The seller can promise whatever he wants, but it will be close to impossible to enforce if it comes back as fake

Autograph is "guaranteed authentic" by the seller, so if he buys it and sends it in for authentication and it comes back as fake, then he can just file an "Not As Described" case against the seller and win with no issue.

I am leaving the hobby too. I am still collecting Ray Rice, Torrey Smith, Dwayne Bowe, Joe Flacco, Ladainian Tomlinson, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Joe Flacco, Barry Sanders, Torry Holt, Calvin Johnson, and any HOF'ers. LMK.

Yes, but he'd still be out the $150 it cost to authenticate it.
