Default Stephen Jackson trade sources from ESPN

well its been reported by ESPN that teams are calling about Stephen Jackson and the Rams are listening to offers. My question is Stephen Jackson might be on the down end of his career he is not in his prime anymore being 29 and all. Being a Dallas Cowboys fan I hope Jerry Jones doesnt try anything stupid here he always likes to throw the kitchen sink at something and pay no matter what to get a player. We need all our draft picks next year to fix our O line and D line. Demarco Murray is our running back but the only problem with him is he runs like Marion Barber did and we all seen how that turned out. He doesnt shy away from hits and its already taken a tole on his body. Since our back are hurt I just hope Jerry doesnt try anything stupid here. I wouldnt be surprised though if he traded one or our players away for something or went out and grabbed someone small time.

Steven Jackson, St. Louis Rams RB, drawing trade interest -- sources - ESPN

Trading for Jackson at this point makes zero sense for Dallas.

I think he still has 3 years left in him - he is a beast and it is sickening that he is underutilized

Dallas could have 2 vegas kids in Murray and Jackson! Sounds good to me! Felix is horrible. Murray obv can't stay healthy. Jackson can be a great change of pace back for them IMO!

You obviously dont know what your talking about.....

It makes me way mad how they use Steven, the guy is an absolute beast. He can be a 100 yard rushers every game. Rams dont use him at all and it makes no sense. Some games they only give him less than 10 carries a game. I feel bad for him cause he has been the face of the Rams for years and has done everything for them, now the Rams organization is just turning their back on him. I hope he can get traded to a contender like the Packers, he deserves it.

At what cost is the question. Who do you think they'll offer up?
Also any insight into Sjax contract situation? Not sure where he's at salary-wise.

Still would love to have him.

This should be in the B-Ball section if your talking about Stephen Jackson, might want to spell his name right it's Steven Jackson

They agreed to restructure it so the Rams can release him after this year without penalty. I'm not sure of his cap number.

I suspect a 4th and a conditonal late round pick would be fair.

What I love about Dallas Cowboy fans, is everything that is happening in the NFL is about them.

Jackson is a stud. He is far from being past his prime. The man is on a crappy team with a crappy O line.

Yeah, we get it. Someone else already busted his chops above. I'm sure you're perfect though.

I'd love to see the Steelers go after him, but only if he's cheap.

I'm assuming you're a Ravens fan then. We draft our team, and it works for us. He isn't even an upgrade over our current situation. I'd 10X rather we draft a RB with the pick we would have to give up for S-Jax.

Jackson and Larry Fitz need to just pick up and go to a Super Bowl contender. Sweet baby jesus... if Aaron Rodgers had the two of them together for a few years they might win 4 straight.

He would Definetly be an upgrade from what you have. Just imagine him on a great team like the steelers. Beast mode for sure and the dude is like a rock unlike the glass houses you guys have at RB

He's an older player who knows only one system, with a relatively hefty contract. I'll pass. I do see your point, but my team has success with other philosophies, and I'd like for us to stick to them.

They could have Barry Sanders and Walter Payton in the backfield if they are hit continously a yard in the backfield they arent going to be productive.

Jackson is owed 3 mil for the rest of this year.

Lets bring this back up. GB coach "Alex Green is our man" almost simultaneously STL coach "SJAX is not for trade." Is this confirmation that there was talk, and a pending deal? Sounds like two coaches playing hard ball.
