Huge fan until Priest retired. I still think the Chiefs can be a top team next season. Romeo Crennel is a terrible coach. They need someone to challenge Cassel (Brady Quinn & Stanzi ... are you kidding me), and another legit WR opposite of Bowe. The offense needs to involve Moeaki. Is Dante Hall, Eddie Kennison, and Trent Green still in game shape?

It's sad considering the talent we have on both sides of the ball. 2 STUD Cbs, one of the best safeties in the game, a GREAT lb core. Offensively, Charles (not enough touches), Bowe, Baldwin, Breaston, etc. It's sad honestly.

Love Charles, but he is getting more touches than last year. He needs to stay fresh and they should limit his touches. With that said, they need a thunder to his lightning because Hillis is shaping up to be a one-hit wonder.

BTW The answer at QB is not in next years draft. They need to find a veteran QB through free agency.

I am a huge Chiefs fan. This season is lost. The only thing being accomplished by losing this season is guaranteeing that the GM, Head Coach, Assistants, and starting QB will all be fired come next season and a new era of Chiefs football will have started at long last. The Cassel/Pioli nightmare will finally be over. If it takes a 1-15 season to do that, then I am prepared for it to happen.

Damn........nice card. Just wanted to check in on this thread. I seriously doubted Matt Barkley as the #1 pick and (probably) the Chiefs new QB. I actually sat down and watch both the WVA and USC games today and was impressed with the arm strength and accuracy of Barkley.....completely the opposite of Geno Smith.

I just hope we can get a good head coach to come to KC and clean up the mess that has been made.

Again cool card and nice gesture from the OP....ohh yea

GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!! (just dont win anymore this year and f up another chance to get a QB)

I grew up in K.C. I was 3 years old when the won super bowl 4. I lived through the dawson to livingston to blackledge to kenny to montana to bono to grbec to green to brodie/thigpen/cassel era.
I watched some great players come and go. Not for once did I think my team was terrible. I keep a positive outlook and say next year we will do something great. We have some talent, but our major weakness is our quarterback and defensive front. I believe we wasted 2 high draft picks on LSU busts.
Our best pick up were in rounds later than the 1st. Examples, charles, flowers, carr and houston.
I know were not a quarterback away or d line away, to be honest were a team away.

Go chiefs,
David

Another chiefs fan here. I am honestly hoping we go with Geno Smith- look at the kstate game his team was getting their butts handed to them and he is on the sideline telling them we can't give up we have to keep fighting. That is the kind of leader the Chiefs need. Right now I am just hoping someone in management turns on their brain and we get Bowe locked down with a contract but the way they do things he will probably be gone at the end of this season.

Geno was telling them that because he looked like he didn't know left from right. Smith is not the answer.

At least give him a chance at this point. Matt has proved he can't get the job done, and the offense needs a spark. After the Saints game, I thought there was a little hope for the season. I later realized, the Saints defense is just absolutely terrible and KC would suck the rest of the season.

I'm a huge Chiefs fan and collect a lot of Chiefs cards, but mostly Jon Baldwin. What we need is a QB, and we will be good. Cassel stays glued on just throwing to Bowe, so he is very predictable. Quinn just looks lost and has some decent progression reading, but doesn't make quick enough or accurate enough throws to compliment that. Haven't seen Stanzi yet, but it wouldn't hurt to put him out there to see what the kid can do. I mean 1-7, and have not had a lead for even 1 second and we are in week 9. Draft a top prospect QB this year because I see the Chiefs having a top 5 pick this draft. Get another TE to compliment Moeaki, and 2nd most importantly beef up the D with good D Lineman and LBs. We are set in the run game and WR positions, just need a QB and a coach who can utilize the offense we already have. Reason I am big fan of Baldwin is he is averaging over 14 yards per catch, but never gets thrown to since Bowe is the only person Cassel throws to. Baldwin is a big time receiver who will go up and fight for the ball just like Bowe, but just got to throw him the damn ball. That is my 2 cents.

I am a Chiefs fan and I'm concerned they're going to draft the wrong QB. Geno Smith and Barkley to me both seem like they've got a lot of talent around them, but might not be that "great" without their respective supporting casts around them. Colin Klein is a great athlete, but he's a gimmick QB like Tebow. Bray is fragile but has some moments of brilliance, Wilson gets beaten up pretty regularly but seems to do pretty well for the most part. It's hard to say who they should draft.
