Jerry did say that he would have fired Jerry Jones GM by now lol. Maybe he should fire himself then Dallas could move forward?!?!

You are right about Jerry--he's the #1, #2, and #3 problems.

Exactly, if he realizes that he is doing a bad job, why dosent he allow someone who knows what they are doing to try and fix the team and actually make them contenders?

Because he's an egomaniac and he'd rather lose doing it all rather than win and have someone else deserve the credit. See the Jimmy Johnson years.

It's getting harder every year. Sadly, the only chance for change is he dies or is otherwise unable to continue running things. I don't think his son needs the glory like he does and he'd be a more conventional owner.

Right, I cannot explain why the playcalling was that conservative other than to try an reduce the chances of turnovers. The saddest plays to me were the missed tackle by Scandrick on Rodgers (he's never been a great tackler by any means) and the Holding call on White. Both of those were pretty much killers on their own. The defense did enough to win tonight, the offense was ineffective at running the ball for most of the game and the playcalling was quite "safe" for a lot of it too. The draws were really bad for most of the third quarter.

Luckily, Dallas has Philly and DC twice, Cleveland, New Orleans, Cinncinnati and Blitzburgh. I think they could easily win 6 of those games if they play as well on defense as they did this week.

As terrible as it sounds, part of me hopes they don't make a run--unless they really start playing up to potential consistently. I think they need to really make some changes and if they do just enough to be in the playoff hunt those changes will be postponed another season.

I was just curious as they're have been a lot of middling Bears teams in the past, that give you a taste of potential greatness, only to choke it away.

That's how it feels to be a Dallas fan right now.

Oooh, lol ok. Yeah, but we have had actual GMs. What I would be upset about the Cowboys is the Fact That Jerry Jones is willing to admit he is a crap GM and he would fire the GM if it wasnt him, but he wont step down and try to let someone else come in. I think Jerry Angelo is avalible Just dont let him run the draft.

Yeah, I've thought that too to a degree. I think the Cowboys are a few healthy players and an elite Guard & Free Safety away from being really good.

Our biggest problems on offense seem to be with Doug Free and Bernadeau. Free is rose petal soft now, he used to be a mauler. Bernadeau has been really medicore for most of the season.

Hopefully they can acquire a good RG in the draft.

Thats the Lovie Smith law. Crap year, Crap Year, then comes Contract Year: Makes playoffs so he gets resigned , repeat cycle. Can you guess what this year is?

Jerry is as much a GM as Stephen Jones is and Garrett and the socuting department and the other coaches.

He's not the sole decision maker when it comes to personell. In fact, it was his idea to draft Demarcus Ware @ 11 in 2005, Parcells wanted Marcus Spears at that spot. Good thing he was being "reckless" then.

Demarcus was a great pickup, never really liked the cowboys(No offense), But Ive always liked Ware.

It's all good, I love the Cowboys, but I also love football in general.

On a positive note from this game, Bruce Carter is going to be yet another stud LB in Cowboys history along with Lee. What a steal in the 2nd round.

Free has been a lot better since the start of the season, especially as a pass blocker. The OL as a whole can't run block.
