So I was lucky enough to score a Topps 2012 Peyton Manning Quarterback Milestones Silver Medallion #45/50 from a blaster box.
Problem is that both of the bottom corners are damaged pretty severely. I'm guessing this is because the heavy weight of the medallion embedded in the card "crushed" the corners during packaging/shipping. Pictures below
In doing some investigation, turns out Topps will attempt to replace damaged cards as long as you supply the receipt, packaging and UPC - with the caveat that "some cards cannot be replaced." I'm guessing since there were only (in theory) 50 of these cards made, replacing it will be difficult. What I'd like to know is if anyone has contacted Topps regarding a similar experience with a short run card? If so, what type of response did you get? And in general, is it even worth trying to get it replaced?
Thanks for any advice.
