can we please stop the stat whoring against the computers? it's getting ridiculous. i wouldn't normally give a #@#@#@#@, but the game rewards you for it this year with the XP for game stats, and it's bush league.

also, you might want to add to the OP which members are on autopilot. (i.e. the Raiders)

I have updated with who I know is on auto pilot. Freddy might have put a few on that I am not aware of, but as they pop up, let me know.

Well, the rules were intended for head to head, under the impression that All Madden would be enough competition, I assume.

Apparently it is not the case. 50 to 60 points can be put up without running any kind of hurry up offense.

If anyone has suggestions for imposing limits on stat padding and/or point differential against CPU opponents, I am all ears.

Somewhere around 400-500 yards, 5-6 TDs passing; 250 yards, 3-4 TD receiving per player; 250 yards, 3-4 TD rushing? I don't want to take the fun out of the game, but I suppose there has to be limits.

Limit on scoring differential?

Between 35-42. That seems to be a reasonable score to get to without being a tryhard

Alright, after beating the living crap out of the Cardinals (they really are THAT bad, no offense at all), here is what I want to do. I am going to set limits on offensive player stats, but NOT on scoring. I figure, if you want to start putting in your subs and run up the score against a CPU opponent, so be it. Also, if you can get the defensive touchdowns or want to kick FG, go for it.

Here are my proposed limits:
QB: 500 yards passing, 6 touchdowns per player
RB: 300 yards, 4 touchdowns per player
WR: 250 yards receiving, 4 touchdowns per player

Once you hit these limits, you should be putting in back-ups. These obviously aren't hard numbers (ie, if you throw for 508 yards, I won't bust your balls), unless it becomes a consistent issue. Now, these rules will only apply to CPU games. Against human opponents, it probably won't get this bad, but be a good sport.

I haven't decided what penalty will be given out for exceeding these, but I am hoping we don't have a consistent problem.

Thoughts? Modifications?

I would like to get this implemented starting for week 3.

I think the WR should be 275 Yards, but an idea for the penalty is that the next week they get put on autopilot so it sort of resets there stats

QBs should be limited to 5 TDs (rushing/passing)

Alright, we will go with:
QB: 450 yards passing, 5 total (rushing/passing) touchdowns per player
RB: 275 yards, 3 total (rush/rec) touchdowns per player
WR: 275 yards receiving, 3 total (rush/rec) touchdowns per player

I like the idea of repeated violation gets them put on auto pilot for a week.

Yes, pretty much. Most of the human/human games are close. And even if they aren't, we should be showing restraint for sportsmanship reasons.

Some can put up 100 points against a CPU but have issues against a human because they can adjust better to what is going on.

playing the cpu is weak straight up, user vs user is where teh skill is shown, cuz some can adjust some cant. i got my game in.

If I didn't draft Hayden Barnett, I would be in the market...
