I will reword my post from earlier today, so you can comprehend the intent. My two sentences in the original post have the same definition and meaning as below, but with brevity. I apologize that you didn't understand the brevity and instead must attack me personally in numerous bullets of poorly worded English.

Dear Ajax1723:

I would like to inform you that the Bowl Championship Series (herein BCS) uses three numeric averages to compute the BCS ranking poll.

These three averages, in no particular order:
Harris Poll
USA Today Poll
Computer Average

Florida State University (herein FSU) currently ranks sixth in the Harris Poll and fifth in the USA Today Poll. Your astonishment at the tenth place BCS ranking that FSU currently attains can be relegated to their position in the computer polls and thus computer average.

FSU earns .320 from the computer polls. I am unable to tell you how that number is computed, but based on other schools I can infer that a team ranked in the four or five spot would command .700 to .800 computer average points.

I can not attest to the merit of .700 or .800 points, but if those figures were used and the other school's teams were adjusted accordingly, FSU would possibly figure to hold a fourth or fifth place position in the BCS.

I hope this helps you understand why FSU currently sits at tenth place in the BCS poll. I wish FSU were a higher ranking team, but I do not believe they merit a higher score.

so you must feel so important having to make a new thread eh...letme try to break it down for you 1 more time and see if it sinks in...

You clearly stated if they have an AVERAGE computer ranking...

how in the hell is being ranked 5th or 6th in computer rankings seen a AVERAGE by anybody???

furthermore...even if they had LSU, which is sitting at a .750 rating...

the overall BCS would STILL be .76...which is only good enough for 7th...

not the 3rd or 4th you seem to want to project

i dont know how many more ways to explain it to you...

If I can't read how did I deduct it is a stupid situation that should be handled via pm and not clogging up the forums?

Hard to trust anything you are saying right now as not being serious. I mean you apparently have now attempted to argue FSU and the BCS with this guy in two separate threads AND a PM conversation. Lot of effort to argue a relatively trivial topic with someone you don't know.

I've been going on 2-3 hrs of sleep for over a month preparing for my graduate school (at UF) finals. I'm simply procrastinating right now waiting on a response from a groupmate on a paper we are working on for International Finance.

I can't believe how serious most are here. The cbub guy simply can't read and comprehend, the rest act like fantasy football and wrastling make the world rotate.

Reminds me of those who post 'this thread is reported' and 'in before lock'. What are the purposes of those posts?

True, but at least they are for all of us as fans of cards and sports and other topics. What is the point of taking an argument from a thread and making your own thread to argue the same thing with one specific other member.

It comes across as excessive and annoying, honestly it really shouldn't bother you that much that another person thinks that lowly of FSU. You are gonna drive yourself crazy if you let stuff get under your skin that easily.
