The Panthers one was her comparing the Team to a college football team. By saying that she'll round up her sorority sisters and telling her bf to dress up, those two things are big to do for college gamedays in the South.

Well then I really don't get it as Panthers games are well known to have an older quieter snobbier type crowd, not a younger collegiate type crowd.

That's the point. All fans do it for the college games, so I'm sure for an NFL game it will be the same idea.
