Will Adrian Peterson Break Eric Dickerson's Record?
Simple question, all!
Will Adrian Peterson break Eric Dickerson's record of the most rushing yards in a season? Yes or no?! |
There's already a poll, no? Of course it's a yes!

Maybe haha. Sorry I didn't check if there is  |
Sure hope so, would make for an amazing story coming off that injury!
|
Prior to today's game, I didn't think so. I figured he would end up just over 2,000 yards. Being this close, with how he has been running this season - specifically the last 7 or 8 games - I would say the record is in serious danger. If he goes for 140 or more this next game, I think the Vikings feed him as many times as it takes in the last game to get him the record.
|
Agreed that before today, I doubted it. Now I have no doubt.
|
Cool thoughts, guys! I hope he does!
|
The Vikings are going to try and get it for him. It could be very close.
|
You'd be insane to think he doesn't have the capability. He needs like 300 in these last two weeks, but he's an insane human being

Another thread about the over rated player smh
|
I sure as hell hope not as I'll be playing against him in my fantasy championship

I don't get it...what more do you want him to do? |

Cure AIDS, Cancer and get a 3,000 yard season. |
Another question...and I know how passionate people are for some of the earlier pioneers of the game and the respect out there for them (Payton, Sanders, Brown).
With that being said, if he can play with close to full health until his lower-mid 30s, does he have a chance to be the greatest ever? If he breaks the record this year I think it's a legit argument that could eventually be made if the rest of his career is filled with good health. I'm not talking about numbers like Emmitt. I'm talking the most dynamic, electrifying playmaker to ever play the position. |
Greatest rb of all time when he calls it quit...just needs a ring to verify it

I do not think RBs need a ring to solidify their greatness. Barry Sanders is the best there will ever be in my lifetime and has no ring...he could have rewrote the record books if he had been on even a .500 team with a decent O-line...AP is a great RB, Sanders was a once in a lifetime RB |

+30481029101sdjhs dsd_(*Y1deh2382873 Or if he didn't retire so early he would of rewrote the record books. |

Yes, I believe so.

He's good but jeez he won't break the record
|
He's good but jeez he won't break the record
He's good? That's it? And why can't he break the record? Can you give him any credit as the best Rb in the league? |
Another thread about the over rated player smh
Are you serious? Over rated? Absurd. |
He's good but jeez he won't break the record
Wanna place a friendly wager on this? He is good? That's it? Breaking the rushing the record after a TORN ACL AND Other Ligaments in the knee. This injury could have been career ending. He came back after 8.5 months. Adrian Peterson is a TOP 5 ALL TIME RB. |
