Default Disappointing Beckett Mailday

I have been wanting to trying my luck at getting cards graded for some time, I decided for my first time to keep it small and to send in only five cards. I honestly expected a couple of these to grade better. Here are the results

tough one man, make sure to clean off your cards and only send in centered cards. Those AP's are off top to bottom. Good luck in the future!

It's kind of a shame how little value a BGS 9 holds in comparison to a BGS 9.5...when in reality the card is so close to perfection.

Most cards should get a 9 out of the pack. And even 9.5's don't bring large premiums on modern chrome cards.

Well chrome cards are much easier to get a good grade on because of the thicker, more durable stock aren't they? That's probably why.

The new Topps Chrome football is brutal to grade due to the surface.

I always thought TC was hard to grade, since most of the time the card is cut bad

As long as you find centered copies and there are not dents in the front surface, they are usually pretty easy. At least I find them to be easy.

The reason the 9 holds so little value has nothing to do with the grade but the supply of them graded 9. The supply of them is great.
