Thanks....but I didn't try to prove anything in the last post....guess your comprehension skills need updating.

I didn't say anything about your parents....just that you picked your mom over hour dad.

thanks, but it's not backtracking...it's true. i didnt call his parents anything. its inferred from his prior post in which he compared 2 people...which is what i did. therefore, it's no different from what he did.

Back to the game.

Bears will win it, 21 to 14. Calvin puts up his usually 150+ yard game but only gets one TD. Stafford and Cutler both try to one up each other for most boneheaded interceptions, with Cutler coming out on top.

Really, does either of these guys deserve to win?

I actually like Stafford. But what does it say about Cutler when there were literally 25 pictures of him for every 1 of Stafford to choose from

Peter Gibbons: What would you do if you had a million dollars?
Lawrence: I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man.
Peter Gibbons: That's it? If you had a million dollars, you'd do two chicks at the same time?
Lawrence: Damn straight. I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I were a millionaire I could hook that up, too; 'cause chicks dig dudes with money.
Peter Gibbons: Well, not all chicks.
Lawrence: Well, the type of chicks that'd double up on a dude like me do.
Peter Gibbons: Good point.

I still say Stafford is a better than average starting QB and he had a fantastic season just a year ago, but the rest of the team has been bad this season.

The Lions have a lot of problems, but Stafford isn't one of them. They need to fix the defense, special teams coverage units, and get some help for Megatron on the other side (Broyles hurt, Young is a drama queen).
About to be the 2nd QB in history to throw for multiple 5,000 yard seasons, and he didn't have his 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th option for a large chunk of time this year.

But he is garbage. I mean to think that people would rather have Cutler..

Yards are about the most worthless stat out there...

lol are you kidding?

I guess you missed how horrible Detroits Special Team is, and how horrible their secondary is.

BTW, Detroit doesnt Blitz either because their secondary is so trash..

#1 passing offense. With crap RB's and 4 of their top WR's and TE hurt.

Yet gives up the 4th most points per game.

Say what you will, you unduck that defense and special teams, Detroit will throw down.

Bring on Manti Te'o.

I'm not sure what relevance any of that has to the irrelevancy of passing yardage or Detroit's inability to do anything but use Calvin to exploit defenses.

I remember when Jon Kitna would throw for crazy amounts of yard with the Lions too, and they were never very good then either. So I do agree that yards are a bit overated

Uh Maybe because Megatron is the only player to stay healthy on offense at a skilled position?

Exactly...it doesn't matter if you throw for 10,000 yards if you're throwing interceptions, making stupid throws, costing your team points/wins, or picking apart a "prevent" defense down seventeen with three minutes to go. Yards are nowhere near as relevant as other stats associated with quarterbacking.

So...by agreeing with you that Megatron is well-utilized to tear apart defenses and is the only thing Detroit does well...I'm a moron? Are Lions fans really that dense?

Your still missing the entire point that he is all they got due to injuries. 2nd 3rd 4th 5th option out..

Take him away their #1 WR would be Brian Robiskie. lol

Umm, I'm not sure how I'm missing that (or what relevance it has to yards being irrelevant).

If you think Cutler has been the one winning you the games this year, you are strongly mistaken

So, using that logic, you'd rather have Trent Dilfer (who did win a Super Bowl) over Dan Marino (who didn't)?

Marino has the third most wins all-time as a starter...

Imagine if the Lions had the bears Defense, and Matt Forte and Michael Bush at RB?

And their KR that doesn't fumble?

But Cutler wins all the games.. lol
