Week 17: Bears vs Lions official thread

Bears win, Vikings lose, and were headed to San Fransisco to play the niners in the playoffs.

Calvin can have his record, he can have his 2000 yards, were playing for something bigger.

Super Bears, Super Bowl!!!

Perdictions:

Bears 28, Lions 17

Packers 42, Vikings 27

DaBears 1985 12-24-2012 01:22 AM

Melton and Urlacher comin' back. Mmmmmmm....I smell a super bowl

nuccionino 12-24-2012 01:30 AM

Haha Super Bowl. I smell homers. Obviously the Bears will win. But Super Bowl? Ill take anyone else in the NFC playoffs and even NO and NYG

Army19K 12-24-2012 01:31 AM

The Lions are mailing in the rest of the season, Bears win by 2 TDs. But I just dont see them going anywhere in the playoffs.

DaBears 1985 12-24-2012 01:36 AM

It'll be tough. I do have a feeling Marshall will make Cutler get his crap together

That's tbe problem they depend on Marshall too much. Sucks for them that they loss Jeffrey. They need to use Forte more and hope the defense plays like the beginning of the season.

They played well today, but that was against ARI. What do you mean sucks that they loss Jeffery? Is there an injury I dont know about?

I thought they loss him for the year? Did I have a brain fart? Haha.

nuccionino 12-24-2012 01:45 AM

Ok he's not haha. But I know they depend on Marshall too much. Jeffrey is helpful. I wouldn't trust Cutler though if I was a Bears fan.

DaBears 1985 12-24-2012 01:48 AM

Yea Jeffery has been back. He had 35 yards today I think. I cant think of a game where Marshall has NOT been the team leader in catches haha he's their offense

I think he leads the league in percentage of touches on a team. Some random stat but he has been their MVP IMO

All I want is the Bears to win next week and the vikings to lose so they get in. It would be great to see them go all the way even though the odds are a million to 1. Always nice being able to watch your team in another game and shorten that time that it takes till next year comes around! Also be nice to see Urlacher on the field again!

jason122883 12-24-2012 03:50 AM

Detroit needs to win to payback the week 17 about a dozen years ago when a bad bears team best us on a last second edinger long fg. eliminating us

Isnt this the same person who said the Ravens had no shot yesterday. Anything can happen, It would be the first time a team no one expects to win the superbowl has done it(Packers 2 years ago , Giants last year). The true goal is getting in, because once youre in, truly anything can happen.

He missed a few weeks with a broken hand but that was a while back.

Cutler depends on Marshall way too much, he needs to spread the ball out to guys like Jeffrey, Bennett and even Hester.

dherm360 12-24-2012 08:49 AM

You must have missed Cutler screaming at Jeffrey on the sidelines and complaining about his routes to Campbell.

What is your point?

DaBears 1985 12-24-2012 01:43 PM

Well if they Bears get in, they'll probably play San Fransisco, who is playing badly :)

groundsupport 12-24-2012 01:50 PM

Prediction. Suh breaks Cutler in half.

Prediction. Detroit sucks.

freethrowtommy 12-24-2012 01:52 PM

I would rather the Bears or Vikings get in than the Giants. So, go Bears!

Suh still breaks Cutler in half.

I thought the Giants would win. So I was wrong, good, I am glad I was wrong haha. I mean I would be a homer if I thought Baltimore would make the Super Bowl, they are the 4th best team in the AFC and NE/Den are far and away better right now. I am just basing it off the eye test and the fact test (Win/losses). However, I'll be cheering Baltimore obviously to win the Super Bowl.

Timmyftblstar54 12-24-2012 02:05 PM

All I have to say is that I like your Packers VS Vikings prediction :)

What exactly is the position you hold with the Bears?

Glad you didn't wait too long before making the thread!
