Default Sanchez: An Amazing prize from Beckett

I won a contest in the recent issue of Beckett Football, and received a really awesome prize for my PC. I wrote about collecting Mark Sanchez, and they sent me a sick piece in the mail, with a personalized letter from Tracy Hackler, the main editor at Beckett. A big shout out to beckett and panini who are really taking care of their customers.

Here is what I got: An autographed photo of Mark Sanchez, inscribed w/ a special Beckett 30th anniversary message. Real nice auto and great photo.

I don't really know what to do w/ this storage wise. I have considered selling, to try to beef up my Sanchez card collection, but I don't know if I could part with this one of a kind collectible. What is the best way to keep this? Should I get it framed? Right now, it is in a photo holder inside manila envelope inside a dark closet.

Also, what does everyone think this is worth?

I don't know how many of those were made but I am assuming they are limited so it might do well on eBay. But since you collect Sanchez it is a great piece for your PC. Depending on the size, you can buy a frame with a matte in it at Wal Mart for pretty cheap and it will look good. I did the same for a Don Mattingly auto picture and it turned out nice.

Amazing how different his signature is when he doesn't have to sign 200-500 at a time...lol. I'm pretty sure Beckett has never had a problem with their "giveaways". I won one was in 2005, an Elite Ben Roethlisberger rookie card. I definitely prefer the write-in ones though...never done the "raffle". Because the write-in one requires skill, and having a background in newpaper, I felt that gave me a slight advantage, and it paid off at the time.

Look at the guy's BO ID fish.. it's not that hard. I'm guessing he likes Sanchez in his Green & White Uni?

Yeah, the only way i would sell it is if i was getting his highend rc autos on ebay or something. Plus, I have nowhere to put it thats safe at school.

And, on another note, you cannot blame someone for wanting to sell something they won for free...it's not like he bought it and wants to sell it right away.

Anybody know what this could be worth? I'd just be interested to hear people's opinions.

The tough thing is that there's really nothing to compare it to. I would think the full signature and inscription should help its value, but I really can't come up with a price for it.

I would send it back to have it slabbed
