Default Topps Chrome 2013

Ok, so I'm done with 2012. When will pre-sale open up for Topps Chrome 2013?

Most likely June 2013.

And it will not be as strong as 2011 or 2012.

Haha, it's a joke! But the fact that you'd consider it may be real, I think is a sign that Chrome is getting out of hand as is with refractors haha

They should do a rainbow hot case. If you hit one, you will land every variation of a single player, from their base to their Super. That'd be pretty sick...

I thought it was real when I first read it. Talk about mass production. This year alone with the production of products that look the same as the last that came out, is very discouraging.

LOL ... well done sir. Yes, I feel like the colors are already out of hand, but it gives collectors with OCD issues something to do.

With people chasing "rainbows" I'm surprised they don't just do Red/Orange/Yellow/Green/Blue/Purple

They've done refractors of every one of those colors at some point (except gold instead of yellow)...except the superfractor would screw up the "rainbow" colors

Actually works right down the line. Start with purple being the most common refractor, then blue, then green, etc. I know it's backwards but whatever. lol

Well, the Finest Pulsar refractors /10 kind of have a rainbow look to them, maybe Chrome could make those the supers

The Superfractor is the "Gold" at the end of the rainbow!

I like them too, but how does it break down typically?

if a Griffin base sells for $10, what does Refractor/xfractor/orange sell for?

What about all the colors?

Is there that much of a price difference between /499 and /399?

Valid point!

They should do it in order of the actual color spectrum:

Base - Unnumbered (think of this as the sky)
Refractor - Unnumbered (think of this as the clouds)
X-Fractor - /499 (the rain?)
Red - /249
Orange - /199
Yellow - /149
Green - /99
Blue - /50
Indigo - /25
Violet - /10

With Black /5 and Gold /1 at the end as the "pot."

Unnumbered parallels usually double the base, at least they did this year.

Not much of a difference, the colors that have been around longer seem to actually do better. But it's there. I sold a black /299 of luck for 68, and then sold a prism /216 of luck for 80 around the same time, so the difference is there.

blue and indigo would be tough to differentiate between.

Interesting, So I guess for the big names there is a good amount of difference!

I actually like what Prizm basketball did this year except I feel the Green should have been in Hobby.

Basically basketball prizm is just

Base
Refractor (rumored to be /150)
Green refractor (rumored to be /50)
Gold Refractor (/10)
