The only logical thing is to trade back. If no one will, then you take the best player on the board regardless of depth on your current roster and you re-evaluate all talent. It is a business not a day care. I hate to become sentimental. Look at the Steelers and Patriots. Both places draft well and LET PLAYERS GO! If your time is up its up.

You would be quite wrong with that assessment. Wilson is a damn good QB who worked with a pretty disfunctional Offense and Defense last season.

Id love to believe you but since you collect Razorbacks, it would be quite hard to not think you have a bias.

I do have a little bias, it's biased towards the truth. The Chiefs would be wise to draft Joeckel and wait till the 2nd to get a QB. I don't know if Branden Albert will be back and he wasn't a very good Tackle anyway.

The only reason they shouldnt pick Smith is if they get Alex Smith in FA. If not, they have to because Quinn and Cassell are gone and Stanzi sucks. No way will they rely on their 2nd round choice to start.

I agree about Stanzi, he looks completely lost on the field.

Quinn and Cassell are both quality 3rd String QB's.

I honestly think over-drafting a QB at #1 overall is just as damaging as passing on a pretty dominant LT. Smith, to me, seems like he cannot elevate the play of those around him.

This seems wrong on so many levels, Smitbh had a QB rating over 100 before he lost his job. Smith isn't a hall of famer but he brings a lot more than Cassel

Yes, but the Chiefs aren't the 49ers...

Just like the Chiefs weren't the Patriots when they got Cassel.

Alex Smith is Alex Smith because Jim Harbaugh knew how to use him properly and never asked him to do too much. Maybe the Chiefs can do that, but Smith isn't a franchise QB.
