The unassuming, player-less packaging used to house 2012 Limited Football belies the brilliance of the contents inside. In fact, after spending much of today closely scrutinizing the results of the recently completed Quality Control process, I’d venture to say that this year’s edition is one of the nicest-looking Limited releases ever.
Seemingly everything about 2012 Limited Football — the designs, the photography selection, the insert themes, the parallels, the incorporation of game-worn helmets and oversized memorabilia pieces, the checklists, the reintroduction of the fabled Hogg Heaven insert — is at the top of its game.

There’s so much cool in this product — which releases Wednesday — that I can’t really even pinpoint right now what aspect I like the most about it. In my humble opinion, it’s that good. But that’s just me. Take a look for yourself at the 74 images that follow and let us know what you think.

There is nothing special about this product. NOTHING.

Yeah this is basically Absolute. That being said, I think Absolute has one of the nicest designs this year, so this does look good. Probably will pick up some Packers singles, won't be getting a box.

I think it is absolute turned 90 degrees...what is vertical in absolute in horizontal in Limited and vice versa... LOL!! Other than that, I see no difference between the two product lines...

Why do they put the word 'Jumbo' on the jumbo patches? I think that takes a lot away from a relatively nice looking card.

I find it somewhat amusing that the rookie patch autos all say phenom on them. I think it's safe to say that, while some may be phenoms, there are a fair amount that are not.

Limited is always a good product. (Little busy with design..but good).

I think 9/10's of the hobby can just copy and paste their comment on every new box thread.

I was questioning whether or not Nick Toon was OFFICIALLY a member of the New Orleans Saints. THANK GOD Panini made this card to clear it up. I wonder if he carries it in his wallet?

What a freaking disaster.

Doesn't surprise me, they did it with 2012 Crown and some of the players silhouettes as well

Yeah Crown was just as bad. They're really dropping the ball with these on card autos this year, and heading into one of the worst draft classes ever I don't think they are doing themselves any favors for next year. Customers are losing interest in these products because 1. there are WAY too many and 2. half of the main rookie players are sticker autos on everything

Wow, we have DRASTIC differences of opinion of what makes up a good looking card. I would put that as one of the worst looking cards of the year, coupled with one of the dumbest themes for a subsets I have seen since "Initial Steps."

I like the basic white card with some black trim and doesn't have some random crazy designs all over it or some crappy tin foil finish to it. To me it's just a clean, sharp looking card

Looking at it seem more I guess I'm not a huge fan of the whole "member" aspect of it, but I like the overall design and look of the card
