NFL Worldwide?

Just curious as to what other members thoughts are about the NFL franchise ever going global like the NBA and boosting popularity of cards. I know they have been playing at least in London every now and then but do you guys think it will catch on. Just trying to make conversation if this has been talked to death my appologies.

The idea of an actual NFL team in Europe is ridiculous, especially for the European team who has to travel to the US for eight games a year.

Financially they'll be at a major disadvantage as well, most likely.

They (Europeans) may enjoy an annual game because it's one game. That makes it special.

But "futbol" is still king over there and will be for probably generations to come.

Im not talking about having an NFL team there, there is no NBA team in China but a huge market for cards there and they have their own league like many other countries with basketball. Do you think American football will ever find true international success like this

Didn't they have NFL Europe for like 15 years? Can't remember why it shut down but I can only assume lack of revenue.

maybe if all soccer players died mysteriously.

but then, we'd have Cricket to compete with.

Yeah they did, probably never will pick-up like basketball but who knows.

We just had NFL experience here in December. Barry Sanders and some of the Raiders girls came to hang out with fans and watch a game between two teams made upnof expats living in Hong Kong /Shenzhen play a game.

You will never find teams here in any future but the fans of the NFl are about 600 strong just in Hong Kong alone. Not big but better than none. There are nearly 5 groups that gather to watch games weekly.
