I am not a Pats homer, but I will defend Bill a bit. For those of us who played sports, let me ask you one question. When after a big loss did you ever feel like talking? I've been a part of big wins and losses and after a loss I wouldn't even talk to my own family. When you lose a big game the last thing you would want to do is talk about it immediately afterwards.

As a head coach, this is part of your job. You talk to the media whether you win or lose.

He decided in that moment that talking to the media would be worse than the fine/reprimand he would receive. Thats his call.

Personally, I could care less to hear from him, but his actions do come across as lame to much of the public.

That is not an excuse though. He should just give his standard no content short answer and move on. Similar to the press conference. Speaks words but provides absolutely no answers.

A lot of bad things happen in our lives, and to think of losing a football game as an event, it should be so far down the list of importance, it becomes meaningless.

I like watching sports and I too have played my fair share of football and baseball games, but I never become to vested in it, because I thought there are more important things I should be thinking about. I never understood why people become so upset after losing a game- i guess I could see it from a gamblers point of view, and the player's view from a health perspective, but that's about it. If you are healthy after a game and you are still wealthy, there's no real reason to be upset.

why is everyone making this so big? Its not a big deal he talked to the media just not 30 seconds after the loss. He prob knew he would say something wrong at that point so he took the high road on that interview.
