I think you did well. You got two great players in return for Fitzgerald and a spare QB who turned out better than expectations. Jones and Caldwell are a bonus. Trades like this win titles IMHO.

Think you did very well, anytime you can get Manning (who is raking this year) you are doing well. If Jennings gets going that trade should help you win a lot of games!!

my new team will be(in a 12 team league, with 8 bench spots, so there is NOTHING on waivers and we start 3WR w/ a WR/TE option(so 4 WR's essentially)):

QB: Peyton Manning (Jay Cutler)
WR: Greg Jennings (Andre Caldwell)
WR: Steve Smith (CAR) (Nate Washington)
WR: T.J. Houshmanzadeh
RB: Marion Barber (Darren Sproles, Chester Taylor)
RB: Thomas Jones (Lesean McCoy)
WR/TE: Steve Breaston
TE: Dallas Clark (Dustin Keller)
K: Neil Rackers
DEF: Minnesota (Green Bay)

*bench players in parenthesis!

The Peyton/Dallas combo is GNASTY!!!

I am about to kick some tail!!!

ive been in leagues for years, and every trade could blow up in your face...its a crap shoot! as long as schaub stays healthy, not really anybody else he can pass to. but Rodgers has other weapons like driver and jones

I'd think about moving Cutler now too. Doesn't hurt to have a good backup, but I think Cutler is a little too good to just sit on the bench week after week. Manning is over his bye, and no defense scares me enough against Peyton to ever sit him. So basically unless an injury occurs, Cutler should never see your starting lineup again. I'd see what you could get for Cutler and try to find a new WR/TE starter so you can move Breaston to the bench. Then maybe drop Dustin Keller for a free agent QB... most leagues have a couple intriguing guys left on waivers at QB and you're hopefully not going to have to use whoever you decide on anyway.

since this league has every guy starting 4 WR, Breaston is a very strong option compared to what most ppl are bringing to the table. There is NOTHING on waivers due to the 8 bench spots per team, Delhomme, Collins, Stafford and Henne would be my top options. IF something were to happen to Peyton in the next 2 1/2 months!!(that's right folks, we have 10 weeks left to play!) I would be soooooooo screwed, sometimes you have got to have heat on the pine. maybe if this current WR situation isn't cutting it, I will trade Cutler for:

Wes Welker (Patriots)
Hines Ward (Steelers)

I think those are the only two WR's i have a chance at for Cutler(due to their owners weak QB situation), nobody in this league needs QB's even 10% as much as they need WR's.

Henne wouldn't be bad. But another option might be to package Cutler with Breaston and try to get a QB/WR combo back where the WR is the better player and the QB is still a good backup. I just think Cutler is too valuable to just have him riding the pine every week. There's got to be someone in need of a better starting QB... or maybe wait and see if there is an injury later on and maybe someone will overpay you for Cutler. There's a lot of ways you could play it, but I'd keep my options open to trade him if this were my team.
