Default Kaepernick Topps Chrome Auto Superfractor owned by Blowout?
Didn't realize Blowout bought singles for resale on the secondary market. Anyone else make any offers on it? They are holding out for a really, really good offer.

On the contrary, I would say whatever value it has goes down after he wins. Speculation is over after that no more games for him to win that collectors can flip cards around until next year.

I think it depends on what people value it at. Super high-end buyers can be a different breed, some guy might fancy it if Kaep wins it all for his collection or might pick it up in hopes he's the real deal. I probably said that partly because 5 digits seems high for it even after a Super Bowl title at least to me.

His rookie stuff is now higher then rg3 peak value and closing in on luck. Right now its 10k+ card IMO. His gold recently sold for 2k. His lower end stuff is higher then luck. I sold kaepernick base RC from 6$ - 11$. His topps base sold for more then rg3 or lucks chrome base. It did in my auctions at least.

Seems like a conflict of interest.
Can you imagine Tyco selling Tickle Me Elmos on ebay for $250 right before Christmas or something?

You get to a certain point, where you are doing so much in bulk sales of cases, that it could be seen as unscrupulous in some ways to find the best cards in those cases and sell them at a premium. If you are only selling a few cases here and there, there would not be the same concern of manipulation of the market.

Just my opinion of course, and I certainly do not think it is illegal or anything.

That isn't the same thing.

Blowout doesn't make the cards so if they are opening cases behind the curtain, they are gambling just like we are. Your equivalent argument using Tickle Me Elmo would be if Panini/Topps held back the best cards and sold them on eBay when they got hot.

Now, you could argue that Panini blew it a while back with the Bradford Mirror Black 1/1 that they gave out as a replacement. But that still isn't selling for market value (although they did replace some pretty high value cards with it, so it is close).

If Blowout is busting cases, they lose the money they bought those cases for. You could argue that they find the hits in the boxes and then sell the rest as loose packs, but I am 99% sure BO is more honest than that and just another reason that you buy boxes/full cases.

Aaron Rodgers has come back to earth after his super bowl win. Cannot say it is because he plays in a bad market or he has played like crap following the win.

Yep, it's just a card boner that you can show people. In the past, I would've said that most of the sales were legit. Now, since Ebay has castrated sellers, I'm positive it's the other way.

A lot of returns will be filed on Feb 4 if the Ravens win (and they will).
