I have my laughter for the day... Prizm Golds

Watching people post these BINS so high is making my day. People are going to be upset over how low these things sell for.

tnarg 01-30-2013 02:41 PM

People are dumb. Period. Need to deactivate my account so I don't see the word prizm all over the football and basketball boards. Or pay blowout to censor the word.

56LightsOut56 01-30-2013 02:45 PM

The breaks are looking just BRUTAL at this point, and no amount of Gold will save it.

hairyangryfella 01-30-2013 02:45 PM

Yep, I can't stand seeing 'prizm' all over the basketball forum, and now people think they'll be worth the same as the over-hyped pathetic BBall ones. Sigh.

hawaiisean 01-30-2013 02:46 PM

So glad I stayed away. I'll spend less than the price of a box and pick up all the cards I wanted as singles.

I hear ya.. I hardly buy football because the resale is so awful. I was suppose to be in a group break of this and was going to be in for $68 and we couldn't fill it thankfully.

so glad I collect singles and not have to worry about that

808buynsell808 01-30-2013 02:58 PM

First great post I have seen in ahwile Im laughing at all the fools that bought cases of this stuff its a joke imo.:)!

SMHouston 01-30-2013 03:14 PM

Welp glad I decided to hold off and grab 4 boxes of Magic instead as I had that "feeling". What I think hurts Panini here is their 1 rookie per pack #@#@#@#@#@#@#@#@ and same with score..but at least score is cheap as hell. So I'll wait for a set builder to slap some sets together and buy one for $30 and move on.

trixstar 01-30-2013 03:15 PM

What's even worse to me is the way the autos are looking, just terrible in all the breaks I've seen .

I wonder how many hoops auctions will keyword spam Not prizm gold

Idiots

But I like PMGs as much as the rest of the guys and I still think they are dumb on the basketball side. I mean over 2k for a Kukoc green? GTFO

WalterAZ31 01-30-2013 03:20 PM

What is even funnier, is how many people getting all bent out of shape just because of what Prizm cards they see listed for on the bay for whatever price

oldgoldy97 01-30-2013 03:22 PM

Keep thinking like this and I won't consider you a basketball forum guy anymore.

03supto 01-30-2013 03:32 PM

it's panini...what did people expect?

LARIOS 01-30-2013 03:57 PM

The cards do look nice, but the prices are ridiculous...why would anyone buy base Gold Refractors #/10 for those types of asking prices? Even asking for those prices is ridiculous! I seen a Patrick Willis Gold Refractor for $400-500 non auto. I would rather buy some nicer RC autos of him for those asking prices, seriously you can probably get maybe 5 or more different autos of him for that price..people are crazy

LARIOS 01-30-2013 03:58 PM
it's panini...what did people expect?
I guess they will do anything to try and make that bread ;)

addicted36 01-30-2013 04:04 PM

People can ask anything they want for their cards. Fact is no one's likely to buy any of that. It's kinda funny to see three auctions of a card and all three of them are BIN's where one guy is asking double the next guy, then the third guys asking half of the middle guy's price and all the smallest priced one has gotten is a couple of 2 dollar offers lol.

Card one 80 obo
Card two 40 obo
Card three 20 obo with two 2 dollar offers

Timber!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jeg2315 01-30-2013 04:09 PM

Many of the basketball vet and legend golds settled at around $35-70. I imagine most football vet and legend golds will range from roughly $20-50 once they settle.

wegoingsizzler 01-30-2013 04:17 PM

You all hear that?? Panini just dropped the big Prizm hype bomb on the collecting world and we are left with nothing but pieces of redemption cards in the rubble....

Luck, RG3, Wilson, Martin, Foles, Weeden, D wilson, Osweiler, Michael floyd, alfred morris are all redemption...LOL...

so 10 of the top 15 rc are redemption.....WOW... this product shouldn't be called prizm...it should be called Panini Redemption Bananza!!!

bingo... 999 for murray and 645 for willis are worthy of a laugh. nobody will offer anything remotely close to those prices for those cards. you won't even get 10% on the murray

i don't expect to get $999...thats why i am asking offers. it doesn't hurt to list the cards with high buy it nows and accepting offers

then why not put a resonable price so you can get resonable offers... I'm sorry but if I list something for $999 and got $99 offers they would have been auto declined and lowballers.

Yes, and this has been a recent catastrophe with Panini. In Crown Royale, over half of the RPS rookies were redemptions. Unacceptable, really.

I bought two boxes of that crap, and I learned my lesson. No more Panini for me.
WOW... this product shouldn't be called prizm...it should be called Panini Redemption Bananza!!!
all of their products do this... I can't get over how many redemptions they use. I am always in shock when I didn't pull a redemption from a box of their stuff.

Wow Panini is horrible,I was thinking of buying some Contenders since this is one of the better draft classes we have had,but now I am afraid I will get nothing but redemptions and even at that you really dont know if you will be getting the card you actually pulled :/
